Windthorst Sausage and Meat Company

A friend of mine brings his steers in here to be aged and processed. I purchased a side of beef from him and it was great. I've also purchased steak and sausage from them and they were quality eating.

The best place for meat and SAUSAGE!!! Ive tried all those "meat markets" in Wichita Falls and nothing compares to Windthorst! Steaks are so tender and at the best price ive seen around. Love that German Sausage. Its worth the drive! Jaime and Chris are true butchers!

Came in very welcoming I met with Chris had some really good food in sit down have a bite I'll get it to go whatever you do you have to stop here grab your meat. They have all types of meat even deer meat.

This meat is made from some of the best stuff on earth. Hands down.

Any way to get thicker cuts ??

Look at this beef, they tried to scam me from the start. Tried giving me 108 lbs of beef from 430 lb hanging weight. They looked for about 20 minutes and finally came out of the freezer with some more of my beef. Still tried to tell me that was all I got. Not much I could do at that point so I left. They called me back and said oh we found the rest of your beef in a different freezer and you can see from the picture that it’s obviously not from the same beef. SCAM SCAM SCAM

WE BOUGHT A 1600 lb. Cow from my cousin. She was raised from a calf and grass fed with no antibiotics or steroids. It took forever for processing.over 3 months. Went and picked up the meat and was handed a piece of paper that was a cut sheet. Went home and we divided the meat between 4 people. We weighed the meat and each person received less than 80 lbs per person. We didn’t thing that was right so I called my cousin who has had many cows processed and he said that was way off. I called a the next day to ask for my receipt instead of a cut sheet but no one answered. This went on for a couple of weeks. Finally a girl answered. I requested a copy of my receipt and she put me on hold. When she came back she said that the prior girl did not file them properly and it was lost. When I finally got the owner on the phone he gave me some technical jargon and called me a liar and said that what we got was correct. . This place is shady and crooked. Will never go back there.

If I could leave a negative response I would. They're dishonest. I delivered a 1600 lb cow to them and got back just over 400 lbs of beef. I called them about it and basically got called a liar. Then they told me that the cow had big bones. I have had several beef cows processed at other places. I've always seen about a 40% loss in finished weight after processing. I raised the cow from a calf. I know my beef and what I received was not what I dropped off. Never again. If you're reading this and considering using this company BEWARE, because they sure seem like thieves to me.

This used to be a good processor, but not anymore. $125 minimum fee, so they are forcing you to buy sausage, or at least pay for it. I didn’t get nearly all my deer back with only 30 pounds of meat from a 120 pound deer. It also took 7 weeks to process, and all the money had to be paid upfront. I can’t imagine they will continue to get hunters to use them under these conditions. Beware, no standard deer processing.

I had the same problem as every other hunter. It took well over a month to get my meat back and there was maybe 30 lbs from a head shot 8pt they said was nice sized. Once when I went to pick up my meat I overheard them say another person had alot of chili meat and was gonna give me his. They will never get another dollar from me again.

Hunters Beware! Took a 100 lb doe in for processing and got about 23 lbs meat back. Some of it deer sausage. All the meat tasted terrible. We had to throw it all waway. Cost was outrageous. $194. We called them about the terrible taste and they just acted like "so-what".
