The 5 stars is for Dr Calica. I am not a patient but my husband is. But.... The negative about this clinic is the STAFF up front who are rude, they talk to you like they are busy but when you sit down they are gossiping. And one more negative complaint is about the medications. It does take awhile to get them. They say they will be there and when you show up to the pharmacy there is nothing. So my husband had seen how they work so he makes the attempt to call many times to make sure they get it through. It is a shame he has to do that but when he does the front desk puts him on hold too for about 10 to 30 minutes and still takes about three days to get it. I truly believe it is the front desk. They are lazy, unproductive, non-communicative people. Dr. Calica needs a staff that is reliable and shows concern with hospitality and makes every effort for every patient.

For the positive, Dr. Calica is a very good doctor! He shows concern and listens attentively. He speaks to my husband as if he is truly seeking to help him in his time of pain and need of assistance. Dr Calica is the best!!!

Not sure what is going on with all these negative reviews. People seem to think there is a magic wand to make other patient get done instantly. If a doctor has you waiting its because they intend to give you the same care they are giving the patient before you. Dr. Calica's office has been very kind to my family since we moved to Beeville and has really gone above and beyond to make sure my family is healthy and safe. They are respectful and professional and the offices are clean. People need to stop getting so damned but hurt cause they don't get their way right away. I typically wait about 15 min when I show up and I have absolutely no problem with that.

My boyfriend is a patient, and Dr. Calica, is fantastic. He’s also very thorough. However this will make the waiting time a bit long, which any understandable patient will know and be okay with.

I do have to say calling to make an appointment was very displeasing as I was hung up on, I called right back and the lady who set up my appointment chuckled when telling her they hung up on me.

10/10 for DR himself, staff answering the phone 0/10.

Dr. Calico has been my doctor since 2007 and he has taken very well care of me. I appreciate Dr. Calica because he takes his time with me and answers all of my questions. He always makes me feel comfortable and he won’t let me leave until I have all the information I need and until I understand my diagnosis. Thank u for all u do, Dr!

Had a great experience on both visits. I just recently change my pcp to Dr Calica and I'm happy with my decision.

I like Dr calica never had any problems ,I needed to find a dr who takes my condition seriously..every other dr. I have been think I'll b fine ,and now my condition has got worse cause no dr I had took it seriously,,but dr. Calica started to send me to specialist I needed to be seen by

Been there twice, the wait is terrible and the hours are even worse. Went in at 10 just for refills and they send that they were not accepting anymore patients until late after lunch. Once I came after lunch, it took 3 hours before I got out. Another time I was sick on Friday and they told me they don't see anyone on fridays. So what is anyone to do, if they are sick on Friday, hopefully make it to Monday. Really need a better Dr. Office.

If I could give this place no stars I would. I know doctors are not miracle workers but all they do is give my dad shot after shot and all he’s done is get worse. Hey, Dr. Calica and staff, why don’t you do your job. Oh wait, they give degrees out to anyone now it seems.

I've been a patient for a couple months now and have been nothing but pleased with both their people and their customer service. I have also been pleased with the referrals they have made to other specialties and their responsiveness to refill requests.

Update: I guess the honeymoon is over. Really liked Eloisa but when it takes 4 calls and 2 weeks trying to get a prescription refilled (I'm not supposed to stop taking the med without talking to my Dr first) only to find out they are not going to refill without lab work I'm done. By the way, I talked to them in the last month about whether or not I needed to get lab work done to keep getting my refills and was told "no, you're scheduled for lab work next month (november) and there won't be a problem". Apparently I can't post this review without giving them 1 star..BS

I can't speak for the doctor because after waiting for 2 1/2 hours, I got up, got a refund and left. If you don't have availability, then it is common courtesy to let the patient know before they set up an appointment. I feel that my time is just as important as anyone elses. I would rather have my appendix taken out again then to have to conduct any type of transaction with this "doctor".

The negative reviews are 100% true and I would give it -10 stars if it were possible!! I didn’t know that a doctors office like this even existed. Every appointment I have had I waited 2-3 hours before being seen and then the appointment only lasts 10 minutes!!! How is that possible?!?!? If you have prescriptions that you need on a monthly basis you better call in a month ahead of time because they take forever to get your refills!!!! The front desk has horrible customer service... I have called on multiple occasions and have been told to hold but am on hold for 10-15 minutes and when they pick up the phone they hang up and you have to call back and demand what you need!!! I am never stepping foot back in that place and hope you think twice before choosing this place as your primary doctors office!!!

Worst experience ever. There needs to be a complete overhaul of the staff in this office. Scheduling is done in a manner that if you become ill and needs to be soon within a day or two you can forget it. They advise you to come in as a walk in. They will tell you they can not give you an estimated wait time because you are a walk in and THEY are the one's who said to come in at this time.
I was third to sign in and was treated rudely by the staff when I asked for an estimated wait time. Even when I mentioned my son had only been there once DUE TO the fact they could never get him an appointment earlier than 2 weeks away and I had to take him to the ER twice in two months because of their faulty scheduling system.
The facility equipment did not even work. The staff, who had just come back from lunch, had two foil pans of food with sprites sitting right there in the office where they worked (or did not work). They stood around like they had nothing to do. I personally would have started getting charts ready and tending to my job. This office is by far the WORST run medical office I have ever seen!

Step into their lobby for 1/2 an hour and SEE this medical malpractice time bomb for YOURSELF!
Their "care" feels EXACTLY like that!
Their tallest shot lady is a sadist and if you visit with them long enough their front office will make you want to punch them full force in the face.
Don't get hurt on fridays or the weekends because they are closed!They love kicking you out of here as much as they love taking cash payments.
Not convenient for parents of young children and they won't call you back or update you on ANYTHING unless you call them with the persistence of the second terminator.
Calica is nice but often misdiagnoses his patients so unless you've always wanted to practice your own medicine and be your own medical encyclopedia - get the hell out of there a.s.a.p!
They still haven't fixed the bullet hole in their front Lobby window in the 2 years that I've been in Beeville. Why do I mention their bullet hole? Because if they don't care enough to fix that than how are they gonna fix what's wrong you? And more importantly how many people did they have to piss off to make someone want to shoot at this place?Just do yourself a favor and buy ALL of the HEB pharmacy first aid section instead of stepping one foot into this place!

Gives you the run around... Went in for specific reason and he tried to diagnose my husband with 5 different problems not associated with the problem sought after. When asked the staff said they don't know anything and Dr said wait for another set of appointments. Appointments take HOURS expect to be ther 4-5 hours.

Waiting over an hour for appointment made almost every visit. If your appointment is at 2:30 they will call back someone who's appointment is at 3 if they get there before you. Would not recommend this doctors doctor's office to anyone.

i been here 2 times to get my kids vaccines up to date and the first time they didnt have and of the vaccines that my kids needed so i waited a month like they said and went back waited for a hour and a half in the waiting room for them to call me up to the desk to ask me what vaccines my kids need. i told them they been here before and they told me to come back i even filled out alot of paper work, a another 45 min later they find my kids info and they still dont have the vaccines they needed and they wanted me to come back and just get my kids checked over that day i told them i dont think so and found a new place to many run arounds at that dr office they dont have anything in order the worst dr office i ever been to!!!!!
