First time eating at this restaurant but very impressed! Incredible lunch menu with wide variety of options at great prices and delicious food! Despite being setup for counter service, the staff was extremely friendly and attentive to your needs while dining! The cabin like decor is attractive and comfortable feeling. We look forward to dining here more in the future!

Very laid-back and casual just as you would expect any barbecue place to be. Walk in order at the counter, and then wait for the food to be brought to you at the table. I had the brisket plate with fried green tomatoes and potato salad. It was a little light on the meat considering the price; however, I thoroughly enjoyed it and had plenty to eat. They offer unsweet, sweet and peach tea. The peach tea is the overall winner regardless but I’d like to add the sweet tea needs to be mixed with the unsweet so that it’s not way too sweet. Very friendly and helpful staff and a clean restaurant that you will enjoy eating in.

If you are going through the area make sure to stop at Big B! The staff was really friendly the atmosphere was homey and the food was awesome. We had a group of 7 and everyone was saying how good their dish was. The wings but big and the sauce was awesome. The bread pudding was fresh made and was to die for. Take the time out of your day to stop in and have some BBQ.

Love the hospitality and service was great. The sides were just ok...like maybe a 3. The worst item they served was their cornbread and french fries! The cornbreadwas gross, thick and wet like...mushy like almost a cake texture but not. Not cornbread, not cake, but some horrible place in between. I promptly spat it out, did not swallow. What they did with the ingredients to make that mess is a crime. The fries were old, greasy and cold. Which maybe a one off because of how busy they were. However, when I spend over $60 for food I expect quality. Other than that....I would recommend.

Unbelievable lunch at this place today. I think the rest of Alexander City agrees with me! The place was packed today. I had the brisket sandwich and it was phenomenal. The people are so nice and the service is even better. I will definitely be back!!!!

Stopped by this hidden gem on the way back from Camp ASCCA. The food was delightful! We ordered a blooming fried onion as an appetizer. For our entrees we had the chicken liver dinner (seasoned and fried to perfection) with Cole slaw and chili (has beans, a hint of sweetness) and the whole fried catfish (fried green tomatoes and okra). To wash it all down we had sweet tea. The sweet tea was GREAT! All of the food was fried and seasoned well! The service was good and the wait was not long at all! I look forward to visiting here once a year.

Update Update!! It's June 2023 and I'm visiting again! I had the whole catfish with fried green tomatoes and fried okra. My son had the chicken fingers and fries kid plate (with a slice of Texas toast). My boyfriend had a ribeye (Med Rare) and fries with fried green tomatoes. We had a blooming onion for an appetizer. The blooming onion didn't have much flavor but the sauce that they served with it was really good. Sweet tea still great! This time a hostess didn't seat us, we had to wall around to the counter and place our order. But someone brought us our food. Food was still tasty, fresh and fast! Service was still exceptional! I can't until next year!

It's a good BBQ place not great but good we had pulled pork sandwiches and chicken wings lemon pepper chicken wings the wings didn't have enough seasoning and although the sandwiches work good they needed a little bit more flavor I will definitely be going back as I want to try out the ribeye steaks I have to tell you it's not cheap by no means they are pricey and we really love the decor it is a really beautiful place if you haven't tried it you need to go at least once

This time was a lot better the ribs are some of the best I have had and there burgers are half pound and fresh ground and you can get them anyway you want them

We went back a couple months ago and I ordered the Mega Burger and if you've never had it boy let me tell you THAT THING IS HUGE 2full pounds of meat on a huge grilled bun and a big plate of frys, this thing will feed 4-5 people easily, and at the time it was only $20. After I ate all I could I took the rest home and me and my 4 grandchildren ate on it for 2 more days

First time here and the food was absolutely delicious. Will come again the next time we see one

Cafeteria style, clean and friendly place. Catfish filet, bbq chicken were tasty. Brunswick stew was ok not the best I’ve had. Banana pudding was delicious as well as sweet potato fries. Reasonable prices with generous serving size

We have been in the area for a week and have been to this restaurant twice already. They have a great variety on the menu. Will definitely be returning here more

My family was visiting Lake Martin and found this gem! Best ribs I've had in the Southeast! I loved the sweet barbecue sauce! The potato salad was excellent. I went back twice in one day! I also took an order back to Atlanta! I'll be back!

Great place for BBQ or steak.

The food was amazing! It was some of the best bbq and best food all around that we’ve had at a restaurant in awhile. The tea was fantastic, the service was quick, and the staff was friendly. It was also a super clean environment- even the bathrooms! I was more than satisfied with my experience and look forward to visiting again the next time I’m in the area.

Absolutely fabulous BBQ chicken, and brisquet I have experienced. The sides are equally good such as friend green tomatoes and stew. But, the desserts are monster. Best cheesecake ever, good banana pudding.

I travel the state doing Masquerade $5 jewelry fundraisers at hospitals. This and Smitty's BBQ in Panama City are my absolute favorites.

I eat here often. Pretty much everything on the menu is good & very consistent. Good place to bring friends & family. A lot to choose from & a nice family atmosphere. The Gibsons have been doing it well since the 70's.

I love this place! They food is great but the atmosphere is even better! They have a real fireplace!! It is an old country store vibe with the best home cooking around!!

Excellent place to eat... very good food. Nice atmosphere. Love the way the place is set up to where you walk up and make an order instead of a waitress taking it. And the hostess is very nice who comes around to check on things.

We had a great lunch today.
The food was good and our server, Kay made the whole visit even better.
We were seated quickly, even though it was busy, and our order was taken, prepared and delivered within a very short time.
Kay was very efficient, polite and attentive without being too intrusive.
We drive two hours just to visit Big B and are so glad that indoor dining is back!
Looking forward to the next opportunity.
