JR’s Sportsbar and Grill

Great atmosphere, was my first time in Alexander City but this will be my go to joint for grub.

Always wonderful food, nice atmosphere, and great service!

Visiting from North Georgia we found this place by chance. My business partners and I popped in on a very busy night, but the food was awesome and the owner (and I believe her sister) took time to greet us and make sure we were enjoying our experience. We particularly enjoyed the various appetizers that we tried. The fried pickles were the best I have ever had and the homemade ranch dressing was the perfect pairing. If you are a local or visiting through, take a trip over and enjoy a great meal.

I love Jr's it's a down home kinda place though it set's in the middle of town . You can watch a game, listen to music drink a cold one eat their wings or awesome an the best fried mushrooms I've ever tasted. If you've never tried it before you should you'll love it

We absolutely loved the welcoming atmosphere and hospitality at JR's. They definitely love serving their guests some great food. The burgers were very good with nice thick pickle chips. We also got the sampler appetizer which was a great prelude to the rest of the meal. The owners Chris and Audra were present in the restaurant serving guests and their sibling Donna was our waitress. Keisha had such a welcoming demeanor. This is truly a family owned and operated business who cares for their guests and loves the Alexander City community. Will definitely return when I'm back in town. Many blessings on this small business!

Great atmosphere and good food. The owner or waitress was great. She made sure we had all we needed by making periodic checks on us. The food came hot and fresh and no one had any issues with this plate. The tea was fixed perfect and came in perfect portion size.

I decided to edit my review. Delivery has improved 100% over the past few months. Food is hot and fresh. They are one of the only restaurants that delivers in AC. If you had negative experiences in the past...consider giving them a second chance.

It was our first visit and WOW were we surprised! The staff was super welcoming and friendly with helpful info on menu items. Great fun atmosphere, great location and then there was the food, ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!! They even have Crab Claws!! Our first visit but Definitely Nit our last. Good food and atmosphere. I usually eat hotter wings, but the mild wings here are killer and hard to beat anywhere. Sit in the bar area and let Donna take care of you, she’s great. 👍🏻

Excellent food & friendly staff! Our recent visit was due to escaping Hurricane Irma back home in SW FL. The staff was wonderful. They made us feel so welcome! A big thank you to who ever picked up our tab. We will definitely visit again when in the area.

Great bat area closed in but not confined. Donna our bartender and waitress made it worth a night out. Being a parent of 5 and only able to get out once a year or so she made it amazing. Great grub, wonderful people, and most of cool and refreshing bar n grill!!!!

We went at lunch on a Friday with a full softball team and parents. Probably 25 people. They sat us all together. Everyone’s orders were right. Great service

Cute little hole-in-the-wall restaurant! The service was fantastic. The food was what you’d expect to get from any sports bar. We enjoyed the atmosphere! Would definitely go back if ever in the area.

A group of us had planned to meet for lunch at a place that happened to be closed so we went to JR's. Most pleasantly surprised.

A fussy member of our group raved about his burger which was chilled just the way he he'd asked and everything else was just right too.

We were presented an order of fries mushrooms -- don't think we were charged but the manager wanted us to try them. Next time we'll order them; WOW!

JR's is a big place; easily handicapped accessible including the large rest rooms which can accommodate a motorized scooter. There's a full service bar (which we didn't use).

We were attending Alex City Jazz Fest and there aren't many places to use the restroom, especially with a little one. They were so accommodating and no problem with people just coming in to use the bathroom. Busy place and looked like fun.

I brought my bestfriend who is a wing lover to this spot and he fell in love. He had the Carolina bbq wings lets just say he is now hooked. To top it off it was on a Saturday and we both were able to enjoy our football teams play. This is a great place to come for a quick bite, a few beers and a great time. They even have karaoke nights which is even more fun. I am sure his next visit here we will definitely be back for sure.
