Jake's Restaurant

My daughter and I had dinner here last night and it was perfect! Porterhouse and salmon were both great entrees, margarita was so good! Our server who's name I can't remember to save my life was super sweet and did a great job taking care of us. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town.

Had Sunday Dinner after church. Definitely the only meat and 3 in town! The food was delicious! The speckled butter beans were the best! Go early not later.

Ive been here a few times and I've always had already experience. This time was no different. Our server was quick and friendly. Our orders came out very quickly and was cooked to perfection. Everything was perfect. I definitely recommend this place. It's one of the best in the area for sure.

Went on a Sunday at about noon. It was busy but they were handling guests efficiently. They had meat and three (or two or four). My husband got the pot roast and I got fried chicken. Both were very good. The waitress was very nice. Cute area of Alex City but not too far from 280. Definitely recommend.

Great food wonderful service. I stop in to this restaurant every chance I get. I love the specials especially when Jake finds good red snapper from the gulf. Often he has a good steak special. Jake is civic minded and does a bingo fundraiser each Thursday night where local clubs and charities make money.

My husband and I stopped here for dinner while in Alexander City for the night (driving through to FL). The atmosphere is casual (which I love), prices were modest and the service was fantastic. Had the special Strip steak and my husband had the ribeye. Both were delicious and prepared exactly to order. There were alot of locals there and you can tell they felt welcome and at home. I LOVE that in a restaurant. Thanks, Jake's team for the fantastic service. We'll make sure to drop in again next time we're in town. (Jake's was recommended by the innkeeper at Mistletoe Bough B&B).

Great place! Well worth going to!! Very clean and the owner is very friendly and make you laugh! I will give them an outstanding 5 stars. Try them out!!!👍

Delicious! Excellent steaks. Fried green tomatoes done right, fried onions rings with the best light batter. Really good!!!

Driving through on a Sunday and noticed this local place open - looked packed too. Brakes applied, in the door. Short menu but fast delivery times as this was just after the lunch rush. We had fried chicken, pot roast, mashed potatoes and gravy (brown), Mac and cheese and cornbread (too sweet) - sweet tea and waters. Murdered out green beans (it's the South y'all) - everything tasted as expected and would definitely stop on for another meal at another time.

The"Roll Tide" burger was delicious! The waitress was pleasant. Restaurant had a nice casual atmosphere. Prices are reasonable. No complaints.

FANTASTIC FRIED SHRIMP! Fried shrimp (jumbo) so good! Bingo charity night and we had a great family dinner(and yes if they have a table available you can eat there on Bingo night) fried green beans excellent and don't forget those heavenly yeast rolls YUM!

We came out for a celebration, It was crowded because it was a weekend, You didn't have to wait very long cuz it was just a table of two, our waitress was very friendly, She explained the menu to us, So yes I could say she was helpful, made sure our drinks were always full, We ordered steak, It came out the way that we both like it It tasted very good, Yes I would recommend this restaurant to anybody that lives in this area or is just passing through

I had heard a lot about this place. All being good. This is by far the best food I have ever had. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere is very friendly. I rate Jake's the highest. Best food I have had in a long time!!

Local folks. The food is always great. Great variety. Never had a bad meal, but Sunday lunch is like grandma used to make. So good!!
