Mater's Pizza & Pasta Emporium

Our Albertville HS class of 1969 held a luncheon meeting Saturday, February 24th, at Mater's. The restaurant staff was outstanding in accommodating our group of 40.
The service was quick and efficient. Their food is great. I heard many compliments from our class members. I highly recommend Mater's.

Great location in beautiful downtown Albertville, AL with lots of charm and character. Excellent service and yummy pizza with generous toppings and a variety of sizes available!

Unique pizzas with tons of flavor. We stopped in for lunch and wasn't disappointed. The pizzas were perfectly baked with tons of toppings. A must try is you are in the area.

100% the best pizza I've ever had, the best steak sandwich I've ever had, You have to try it, it's life changing lol, for real! I want to try other dishes but the pizza and steak sandwich are so good I can't resist. Half a sandwich and 1 piece of pizza I am stuffed, you gotta go to this restaurant, thank me later

Seriously delicious pizza. First time eating 'Better boy pizza' last night. It was delicious, with plenty of toppings and cheese. My husband came out to the car and handed it to me saying, "feel how heavy this is" You will get the bang for your buck here. Thank you for your quality product.

If you are looking for unique pizza in the area.. this is a must try! I have tried many menu items and have never been disappointed!

Best little pizza spot. Calzones we’re on point!! Not to mention Huge!! Friend of ours told us we had to stop in if we were up this way and not were they right. Great little spot I highly recommend. Come hungry!!

Food was great 12”pizza loaded too much to eat took half home. Server was Misty. Very helpful and friendly. We got our food and it was hot. We will return.

First time here - we were looking for a good lasagna place, and we found a gem! Everything was really good, including the service (thanks, Rebecca)! There are a lot of reviews in here that point out issues with service, but we did not have any of that experience. We went at around 2:30 for an early supper. Lots of food - you won't leave hungry, unless you just don't eat. In the photos: Lasagna (check out the cheese!), pizza, and calzone.

Very friendly service staff. We were sat very quickly. My wife had their Manicotti it came out hot and ready to eat. The garlic bread that came with was amazing as well.
I got the chicken Alfredo and although the chicken had a teriyaki taste which didn't compliment the Alfredo both were still amazing. It's rare to have a restaurant give you a large amount of Alfredo sauce to noodle but it was perfect, they soaked the noodles in Alfredo sauce and it was amazing. The Alfredo was homemade and you could taste it. It's nice to go somewhere where the food is made from scratch.

Great place to take the family. Excellent food. Fabulous Chef salad. A small one is pictured plus the Better Boy. I had to eat a piece before the picture.

A group of about 18 of us gathered at Mater's for dinner and a meeting earlier this year. The side room was perfect for our needs. Thanks for setting the tables together for us. This was my first time at the restaurant and I appreciate the great food and service.

What a great experience! I ordered a calzone and it was delicious and huge The crust is light, fluffy, and so buttery. Scott, our waiter, was knowledgeable and friendly. The place is clean and inviting.

It has been a while since I have been in town and noticed the Boaz location was no longer. Then driving thru Albertville and saw it. Told my family we had to have it. They all agreed and were amazed at how good it was.

Fried pickles are amazing. Got the meat lovers pizza and it was perfect. Crust was crunchy and sauce was thin and delicious. Worth every penny and then some.

We had friends visiting from Mississippi and Maters you sure did earn more than 5 stars 🌟! The Celebrity pizza was INCREDIBLE! Best liked pizza of the night... the Best boy and Field Hand were amazing... those fried pickles, shew ... we should have gotten 3 orders instead of 2... also, to the gentleman who assisted me getting all this to the car, thank you for going above and beyond. You're greatly appreciated!!! Ha, hubs is already planning our next Maters pizza night by saying "I'm ready to eat there again when you are baby!" Lol.... 5 stars all the way

The place was great. There is plenty food for the price. It was hot and fresh. Our server was nice and attentive.

Remember Mater's in Huntsville back in the early 80s. Had the opportunity to visit this location recently and was not disappointed! Pizza unlike any before or since, thick with toppings!
Vibe is best described by the name. Funky but comfortable.

We had the Better Boy , the pizza is loaded with toppings the crust is just thick enough to support the toppings having just a little crunch .

Little bit of a wait. Awesome service. Delicious pizza. We had the meat lovers. There was 4 adults and a toddler and we got a large and only brought home 1 full slice and about half of another.
