As this park was developed from farmland to park, this man made pond/lake was added. One bathroom, one boat ramp, picnic shelter, several parking areas around mostly west and south sides. There is a trail (presumably serving mountain bikes too) around the lake. Signage is limited, as is cell service.

We went to Jim Edgar area for hiking. Nice trails but no or little trailhead signs. We saw some signs 20 feet off the trail in thicket probably from decades ago. Nice benches at scenic overlooks were overgrown with grass. Once you find the trails they are pretty good. We saw deer and quail.

Only one other boat on the lake, caught a mess of BIG shellcrackers in about two hours. Other than the two minute shower we endured was awesome.

Beautiful lake, nice trail around it very few places that you can fish from shore without a boat
