I have an import vehicle that I've needed some work on and I am new to the area. I contacted several places and they all said they couldn't really assist me and referred me to River West Motor Werks. I am glad that they did as my vehicle was taken care of. My vehicle has quite a few miles on it and needed some TLC that I haven't given it since I moved here, and they took care of it. They even game me the recommendations for fixes that will likely be coming up but didn't need to be repaired immediately, as I had thought. Very knowledgeable and friendly service and the prices were reasonable for that type of vehicle. I have found my place to take my vehicle going forward. Call ahead as they are one busy location!! I'll never take my vintage buses or beetle s anywhere else. IMHO I'm pretty apt with a set of wrenches and it just got too cold to be doing clutch jobs on the side of the road in January. They were far friendlier and knowledgeable than I expected and prices were a real value. New raving fan and lifetime customer!

I have an imported JDM that was only ever made and sold in Japan, so finding parts is impossible. I've been on the hunt for some basic parts for well over 4 months now. Multiple shops couldn't help me.

I should have just come to River West Motor Works first!!
They did a full inspection in just under an hour, and after not even 10 minutes of searching they found the parts I needed! They are a life saver. I won't be bringing my car anywhere else but here from now on. Very friendly and informative people. I was expecting the price to be high due to being an import place, but it was actually decently affordable! Very knowledgeable staff, one of the guys working on my pride and joy also had a JDM vehicle and knew a ton about them.

York and Dakota are absolutely amazing when it comes to customer service! I had my truck in for a check engine light and they narrowed it down to an oil pressure sensor. They replaced the sensor along with the harness and good as new. When I had a problem with it a few weeks later they went back and took a look at their work, rechecked it and ended up fixing the electrical issue that caused the problem after being in the shop once. Gave me a loaner vehicle while it was in the shop so that it wasn’t too much of a burden not having a vehicle. Communication was outstanding and they were extremely determined to make my truck working properly again. All the people who work here are no BS. Honest and professional. Absolutely would recommend anyone looking to get any work done on their vehicle to give them a call.

I've been doing business with Riverwest and York for 20+ years. They've worked on a Kia Soul, a Subaru Loyale, a Subaru Outback, and a Toyota Rav 4 I've had. They're frank and honest. They don't guess and they replace only what's necessary. They'll tell you if they see obvious safety problems and can give a good overall assessment of your vehicle's condition, if repairs are worth it or not. They are willing to work on older vehicles local dealers will give you "attitude" on. They're not flashy but they get the job done right!

They were recommended to me by a friend and I was really pleased with their service! I'm happy to now have a reliable foreign car specialist in this area. Their prices are fair and they were great about answering all my questions so I had a thorough understanding of the repairs needed. Friendly service as well! Would definitely recommend!

These guys are awesome! They turned a bad situation around for me. I was half way to northern WI when my car broke down in Plover on a Friday afternoon. These guys had a part for my Subaru that even the dealer didn't have. Highly recommend. Thank you! I would give them 6 stars if I could!

We've had River West wofk on our vehicles for a few different issues, and they've always done a great job for us. Communication is excellent, prices reasonable. In the back of the shop is River West dog grooming. We've taken our dogs there for a number of years. Jolene was previously a Vet tech, so she knows dogs and recognizes possible health issues. She is amazing with our dogs, compassionate and caring. We won't go anywhere else with our dogs.

These guys are great! They know a lot and explained things to me.

They are a great company to work with. Very knowledgeable and helpful. I recently had my car in for a general tune up and they did a thorough job, even identifying a couple issues I wasn't aware of.

Stopped in without an appointment due a series of check engine lights that came on as we were heading south on Hwy 51. Very accommodating and were able to check over the concern and give us a professional opinion as to whether or not the car could be driven another 2 hours. Great shop and service. Thanks to all.

Brought my Volvo in. They were able to diagnose, get parts, and have it back in 24 hours. It was reasonably priced and they communicated the changes before they made them. They will be my Volvo repair shop going forward.

I have been taking my Volkswagen and BMW's to York since I moved to this area about 10 years ago. I have never had a bad experience and he's always been up front with what's wrong and more than fair with what it will cost to fix it. I'll continue to take him my vehicles when service is necessary. Hands down best foreign car mechanic in the area that I have dealt with.

York and his staff are the best. They always give me an honest assessment and often come in under quote and ahead of schedule. I won't take my BMW anywhere else!

I am new to the area, and needed to find a new groomer. My poodle and I were treated very well! Groomer was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all my questions and explained their process for grooming. It was important to find out my preferences for how I wanted my poodle groomed, which I appreciated. She took extra step to let me know that she will make sure my poodle would have a good and happy experience and look forward to coming back, with good memories, not be scared :)
I have never been so comfortable leaving my doggy in someone else's hands!!! Thank you Christy (?sp) and looking forward to the next visit! I would recommend these groomers.

Everyone worked well with me, was flexible with my schedule and transparent with everything when working on my car! Always a busy place to be sure to call ahead of time if you know you need routine maintenance.

York and his entire staff are very professional and helpful. They'll repair your vehicle for the long-haul, never just for the moment. They take pride in their effort! York is also a family man with daughters he devotes time to before and after school, so he knows what a vehicle means to another family. He's never going to short-change anyone on a repair as important as transportation to get places safely.

Amazing place! Upfront quotes, excellent and honest repairs! Wouldn't go anywhere else with my 2003 VW Bug.
