St. Croix National Scenic Riverway

Really hard to rate the entire Scenic Riverway because it is so vastly long. But the sections I have been to are outstanding. There are numerous state parks and state forests on both sides of the river accompanying the federal land along the river. Overall a great place to boat, kayak, tube, paddle, sightsee, swim and enjoy the scenic river.

Went to dinner at Pier 500 and sat in one of the Igloos. Beautiful views and a wonderful experience!

This place will forever hold a special place in my heart as I said yes to my best friend. The train ride was amazing, you’re able to walk around from car to car and check things out you even can walk out to the front of the car and enjoy the ride outside. The views were amazing and the team was incredible would recommend to anyone!!

This visitor center is a great stop to learn about the scenic river that flows through this part of the country. This place has an excellent, modern visitor center with many exhibits that showcase the marvelous ecosystem provided by the St. Croix River watershed. Staffed by friendly faces, the gift shop has plenty of keepsakes to help remember your visit. Also, there is a 20+ minute video; I did not get a chance to view it, as I was pressed for time, but should you find yourself with enough time, it is highly recommended to take it in.

Hey we went Canoe in Friday through Sunday we did practically 12 hours two 5 hrs and 2hrs I'm so glad I got to go.

Beautiful town. Great river fishing, boating and kayaking!!

You can stop stretch out.
Look at the dam from on top .picnic areas. Bathrooms. Up the street a big playground and swimming. Kids love it .So do the adults .

Worth hiking and exploring on a long weekend. Many trails are several miles long, so be ready. Some of the overlooks onto the river from the bluffs are breathtaking.

Lovely canoe or kayak trip within an hour of the Twin Cities. Spend half a day paddling down the beautiful St. Croix River.
Pack a lunch and stop along the banks away once of the many sandy beaches to picnic.

Hands down the best camping I ever had. Quiet, private and spacious sites.

Clean facility and Friendly Staff!! My mom and I snuck in about 15 minutes before closing time and Both Rangers on duty made us feel right at home!

Friendliest rangers I've ever encountered in a national park visitor center! They were eager to get kids started on a scavenger hunt and answer my husband's ridiculous questions! (Lol) The 20 minute movie was very informative. There were plenty of hands-on activities for all ages. Loved the kids' scavenger hunt! Wear skeeter spray if going outside.

Wide and shallow river with a few easy rapids here and there. Very nice for a relaxing kayak trip.

Beautiful stretch of wild and scenic river - great for paddling and wildlife viewing.

Beautiful place to unwind. Unique small towns with great shops, restaurants and historical buildings. The river adds many opportunities for canoeing, riverboat rides, photography and much more. Each season has its special attractions.

This was an amazing little trip. The river is nice and even with a lot of other boats there was enough space for all. There were tons of great views and cool bridges.

Great views any time of year...just be prepared for a breeze in winter!

Neat visitor center with plenty of parking and access to trails following the river.

Loved it..rented a pantoon boat and floated down the river , it is beautiful
