This resort is now owned by individual owners, cabins and campsites alike. We own one campsite.

There are cabins and campers for rent, but there are no open campsites where you bring your own rig.

There has new ownership, but a very great place to experience an authentic Minnesota cabin. Fishing is awesome, and the heated pool is fun for the kids.

We loved this resort! The owners were very friendly and the cabins were super clean and well stocked. The pool is very nice but not good swimming in the lake. My only negative is the weedy lake. We caught fish but nothing very large. There is a canoe, kayaks, bikes and boat slip to use at no cost. Kids playground is nice and the cabins have picnic tables, grills and fire pits.

Balsam Bay Resort was absolutely amazing! I stayed for a whole week with my family and could not have been more pleased. The owners Bob and Su are very accommodating but at the same time give you your privacy to enjoy yourself and relax. We also rented a pontoon from them and Bob told us where to find fish, and boy did we find the fish! The Pool was so clean and the perfect temperature. They have paddle boats and kayaks to use for free which we definitely took advantage of. I have kids ranging from age 1 to 15 and they all had a blast including my wife and I, and my mother and father in law.

We camped at Balsam Bay Resort with our camper on Memorial Weekend. The resort is well groomed, beautiful pool, nice play area with horseshoes, volleyball and more. They have all of the equipment you need to play all of the games. There is an indoor game room with pool, air hockey and more. We used the paddle boat for free and they have kayaks to use for free as well. The owners are very nice people and we had a great time!

2nd time consecutive years. If you want peaceful, fishing, swimming and simple fun. This is your place! BTW. The owners are more than welcoming, making sure our needs are met. Perfect! I am self employed and know you cant please everybody and any negative review, the reviewer need to look no further than the mirror to wonder what went wrong.

Nice little place, good cabins, lots of dock space, good dock fishing, not far from super great fishing spots. If you forgot something at home, dollar general is only 5 minutes away. Super nice staff. Cabins are clean and they provide a few cooking essentials.

I was thoroughly impressed by the way we were treated when we got here. The boat launch is a bit steep for our old RV and the owner even launched our boat for us. He couldn't have been any more accommodating, and we are really happy to be spending our very first weekend at this resort.

Nice resort, kid friendly and pretty well maintained. Pontoon rentals for a reasonable price, clean camping spots for campers and tents. Very close to atv trails too!

Great resort, not too big and not too small, just right, this will be our second summer going there. Owners are very nice people, very helpful. Lots of things to do, Soo line ATV trails nearby, great fishing. The resort has a nice feel, wooded and cozy.

Wonderful cabin! Wifi worked well. Free options such as paddleboats, kayaks, a pool, yard games, game room, and fire pit. Can also get access to fishing and pontoon boats for additional cost. Owners were very friendly and helpful.

A very nice place to unwind. Quiet, but many activities for all to enjoy. Fishing is usually good, but if it isn't it's nice to just enjoy being out on the lake. Owners are great and aim to please.
