New Sunday morning breakfast spot. We did takeout. The eggs benedict was delicious. My fiance had an everything omelet that was very good as well. Price range per breakfast $10-14

Tonight I ordered Meatball's and mashed potatoes and gravy and a pot pie. When I arrived to pick up my food, the owner was very upset because she had overcooked the meatballs. They said they wouldn't let me pay for any food and gave me an extra pot pie and some fruit salad. When I got home I was blown away because the meatballs were exactly how I would have cooked them at my house and they were The most delicious meatballs I have had in a long time. I've never been disappointed in the food or service at this place in town and I will be back over and over again.

Great food, family friendly, and fantastic service! The restaurant was once an old school house and has a few relics from the past. Really fun place to explore! We drove from Rochester and will definitely be back! Cash only - no debit or credit cards accepted.

I have been frequenting this gem of a place since moving to Minnesota. Staff are friendly and they take pride in their customer service. Because I am prone to have allergic reactions, I normally stick to what works and not vear from my norm. This family owned business knows me so well, that I really don't have to place my order, they already know what I'll get.....two pancakes (which I never finish because they're so fluffy and filling) with lots of butter and a little syrup and green tea. Same thing every time and it's always delicious. My husband on the other hand tries something knew every visit. Either way, we love this quaint hometown gem and you will too. Just a note, they have specific hours and they only take cash.

Very good food and service; a short drive from Rochester. Take a trip to this historic little town of Mantorville and enjoy. We met a lovely couple married 65 years who volunteer here. Great inspiration to us married 50 years .

We recently had the pleasure of dining at the Old School Cafe. As a lifelong southeast Minnesota resident, I couldn't believe I had never heard of this place. The atmosphere is perfect for the small town setting and the surrounding gardens were beautiful in early June bloom. The opening salad was accompanied by an expert balance of dried cranberries, blue cheese, mandarin oranges, onion and ranch dressing. For dinner, I had the stuffed pork loin and my wife had the chicken cordon bleu. Both were the best examples of these dishes that either of us have tasted to date. The horseradish sauce that accompanied the pork was particularly excellent. Dessert was wonderful as well. The staff were attentive and very friendly. Very highly recommended and we look forward to going back!

I love the setting - literally an old school house! Many school house decorations, too: big roll up maps, George Washington & Abe Lincoln pictures...
The food was first rate and the service was excellent.

Very good breakfast and reasonably priced. Cash or check only as they do not accept cards. It is an actual old school house that has been remodeled into what it is today, I would recommend it and will be back.

They have always delivered a very wonderful breakfast. The omelet was cheesy and the pancakes fluffy, melt in your mouth. They will be my go to always.

Went here for my birthday breakfast. It was our first visit, very impressed with the food, ample servings and delicious. This was an old Schoolhouse and nicely furnished.
