My dad was interested in one of the elk skin rifle cases so I called Charlie about a week before Christmas to place an order. Knowing it was a custom order, I expected to receive it after Christmas but the next day he called me back and said he found one he had already made. He personally has the same gun as my dad and assured me he tested it out in his own gun and knew it would fit like a glove. He also said that if there were any problems at all with it to call him back and he’d custom make a new one. He worked with me and shipped the case so that it arrived in time for Christmas and sure enough it fit like a glove! The quality of the case is top notch and Charlie was an absolute pleasure to do business with. He was extremely friendly in answering all of my questions and addressing any concerns I had. I was also impressed with his wealth of knowledge about the skins, tanning processes, beading processes, and guns in general.

MY ELKSKIN RIFLE CASE ARRIVED IN 5 WEEKS AS PROMISED AND IT WAS A HIGH QUALITY PRODUCT; HOWEVER. , THERE WAS A HUGE PROBLEM! THE LENGTH WAS APPROX 2 INCHES SHORT. WHEN I ORDERED THE CASE HE EXPLAINED IN DETAIL THAT IT WAS REINFORCED AT THE BORE AND RECEIVER SO AN EXACT DESCRIPTION OF THE MAKE MODEL AND BARREL LENGTH WAS REQUIRED SO I THOUGHT EVERYTHING WAS ONBTRACK.
WHEN I CALLED HIM TO TRY TO GET THIS EXPENSIVE PROBLEM RESOLVED I WAS SHOCKED.
HE RANTED THAT HE HAS BEEN MAKING TH THESE CASES, SOMEONE HAS BEEN MAKING THEM FOR 20 YEARS. SO I GUESS IT WAS MY FAULT.
WHEN I ASKED HIM TO MAKE ANOTHER HE RUDELY LIED AND TOLD ME THAT ELKSKIN WAS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. O THEN ASKED IF HE WOULD MAKE ME ONE IN BUFFALO, COWHIDE OR ANY OTHER LEATHER AND HE SAID ABSOLUTELY NOT!
HIS VERY GRACIOUS SOLUTION WAS TO HAVE ME RETURN THE CASE AND REFUND MY MONEY.
THIS INCIDENT WAS THE WORST I HAVE EVER BEEN TREATED AS A CUSTOMER. HE WAS CONGIENIAL UNTIL I WANTED A SOLUTION TO A 450.00 SCREW UP! POSSIBLY HE WAS DRUNK, WHY WOULD ANY BUSINESS TREAT A CUSTOMER SO BADLY?
I DECIDED TO ALTER THE CASE MYSELF RATHER THAN DEAL WITH THIS TERRIBLE :BUSINESS MAN," ANY MORE.
THE CRAFTSMANSHIP WAS FINE, TOO BAD IT WAS THE WRONG LENGTH.
BE AWARE OF HIS YREATMENT OF CUSTOMERS.
I WOULDNT RECOMEND HIS SHOP TO ANYONE
