Oregon Trail Campsite

I almost didn't want to stay bc it was right along the road but we were tired. We actually found a spot that backed up to a sunflower garden and the sunset was beautiful. The site even had water and electric hook up so that was perfect for a quick overnight stay.

We were coming in after dark. Had not planned on staying in this location, but lost our break and taillights and needed to get off the road. I called the phone number at 8:00pm and the owner answered. I told him I had a 40’ Motorhome pulling a 25’ trailer. He said I can get you in, it’ll be a little tricky so I’ll come down and help you get parked. Small park, right off 26, Full services, and the owner went out of his way to get us a safe place to pull off for the night.

50 amp, water, and sewer hook up. Daily, weekly, and monthly rates. The owner, Mr. Johnson, was super helpful, kind, and accommodating. We have a 40' camper and a crew cab truck so I was a bit concerned about being able to get into our spot between two other campers already in place. My concerns were unfounded, there was plenty of room to manuver. The location is right on the highway which is also very nice and speaks to "ease of access", which for me is important.

Great place for a stop. Close to Ash Hallows and Lake Mcconaughey. Full hook ups nice folks. Not a resort, just a place to park it. Next to highway and trains. $30 a night.

The owner went out of his way to make us a pull through spot. Will definitely stay here again. Very good people.

We were happy to find a good place to set up our tent on our road trip. The owner was very helpful on the phone. There were plenty of rv hookups. There was 1 port-a-potty which was less than ideal but better than nothing. It cost us $15 to camp for one night.

Good adverage campground for $28 a night.

Nice clean easy in and out. Friendly management.

Needs work, mowed, cleaned up.
