San Isabel Lodging - Cabins & Store

Hard to rate "Rooms" and "Service" so I gave them both 5s. There's a rather large garage, a modest but fully competent kitchen, a large living room, three quarter bathroom and a room with 3 sets of bunks.

You're pretty much left to yourself out here, but you're right off the highway if you do need to drive into town. Easy access to the lake, very affordable. It's not glamping but it's a nice cabin to build a fire outside and sleep inside (quiet, warm, good curtains, bring pillows no matter what and a mattress if you have a bad back)

World class service. Food was great! I was in trouble with my bike. It needed air. I asked Miranda for help. She immediately called Logan. He used their air compressor and saved the day. The food is very reasonably priced. The service and heart is priceless!

Beautiful place. Maranda was especially helpful! We had some last minute flight changes and she helped us with the reservation adjustments. Very professional and caring. We were there for a wedding renting 6 cabins and all parties were very pleased. Highly recommend! Newly remodeled, great food, great staff! Looking forward to my next stay.

My boys and I stayed at The Pine Lodge. We absolutely love it there! Walking distance to the lake where we fish. Walking distance to the store where they have homemade fudge and to the restaurant where we had a very yummy dinner. Everyone is so nice and friendly! It was a very beautiful and relaxing time! We will go back!!!

Such a beautiful place to stay! We stayed in cabin #4 and it was perfect!. The room was very clean, it was really quiet & peaceful. The restaurant had good food and great service and I loved that the lake was right near the cabins! We had an amazing time and will definitely be going back!

Review is for the store, didn't stay in cabins. Nice little store to pick up odds and ends while staying at the local campground!

It was just the best time! Miranda was an absolute delight last! It filled my heart to see her smiling face! That young lady has the customer care I wish alot of these young workers had these days.

Great "slopper" and I added pulled pork so even better! My wife had mushroom swiss burger and loved it. Can't wait for the bar to open. Great place for us locals to have near by!!

Great food and service! We come here often for breakfast and it is always a good experience. We are very excited to have the restaurant open year round!

Beautiful location 8 minutes away from Bishop Castle and right on Lake Isabel! We stayed in the two bedroom cabin and we're beyond impressed with how beautiful/well stocked it was. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great outdoors experience!

They were closing and made us fresh coffee with like 3 minutes to close. The atmosphere of this place will make you want to come back. Everything you could need to have a great experience at San Isabel for a weekend or week. We are looking forward to a camping trip and will be nice to have these friendly people there for anything we may need they have it all!

Miranda up front was awesome! She helped us out when we forgot some stuff for our baby. We stopped in just to get some snacks and she went above and beyond. Can't wait to come back and get a cabin!!! Thanks, Miranda!

EXCELLENT experience! Jennifer was a super Friendly & genuinely great server! Her recommendations were spot on perfect! The Mexican food was awesome, the green chili was so good I bought extra to bring back to Denver. Too bad the biz is up for sale, a decades old tradition is about to end. Go now & enjoy one more stay for the memory books!

We found this amazing place on our way to Bishop castle, and decided to get married here! We rented out most of the cabins for the wedding guests, and everyone got to stay close by! The restaurant food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. They were extremely accommodating and let us keep the flowers and cake in their walk-in. The cabins are cute, cozy and clean. The screened in porches make it nice to enjoy the weather regardless of bugs or rain. Stephanie was very helpful in meeting with us, even in off-season, to make sure we got everything we needed. HIGHLY recommend!

Staff was super friendly and very informative upon check in. We stayed in cabin 4 I believe their honeymoon cabin. Place was absolutely immaculate upon walking in. Nothing dirty or out of place. Had old-school tv/vhs combo tv and actual VHS tapes in surprisingly excellent condition below it. We grew up on vhs tapes so it was rather neat to see them and be able to use them. Whole property was perfectly quiet. Not a single bother our whole stay. Also pet friendly and even better does not discriminate breed. Their was a very cheap non refundable pet deposit of 15 bucks, absolutely no problem paying it. Our pup absolutely enjoyed his time there and all the brush and trees to sniff and explore. Our stay was in middle of the week mid July. Over all it couldn't have been a more perfect place for a spontaneous quick get away. We will definitely be returning for longer stay before the summer is out.
For those wondering, road is paved on your way in coming from anywhere north. Rather fun little mountain roads in a sports car I must say. So if that just doesn't do it for you then all I can say is your definitely missing out not staying here. ❤❤❤ Thank you San Isabel Lodging you guys freaking rock!

Love their hamburgers. Very nice mountain feeling. It is a tradition for us to go up to the lodge at least once per year. Whenever family comes to visit we take them up to have a hamburger overlooking the lake at this great place.

Super great place the new owners are working so so hard to have everything open and ready in such a short time and with so many hoops to jump through. The shop is nice and has all the great essentials and they even wrote down what we wanted them to have when they didnt so they could order it. There were nice clean sheets and towels and all of the staff was friendly and made check in super easy.

This is the real Colorado, family owned and home made fudge and Apple butter, cabins aren't fancy but they're the real deal.
Breakfast is awesome and the wait staff and cooks are wonderful.
I got 4 person cabin with just two people and wanted to add my son...no extra charge 😊. They didn't charge me more per person.
The lake is pristine and surrounded by mountains...truly heaven on Earth....
Not for you if you like concierge service or bell boy.

There is good parking and great food. The gift shop is also handy, clothes, food, and trinkets can be bought. There is the ability to rent paddle boats in the summer. The fishing there is year round. There are nice trails and places to have a picnic. The lodge staff is always very nice and helpful. My only wish is that it were open longer though the year, but the snow makes that difficult.
