My sweet Marlene gave us the best morning experience. She introduced our family to the bath spa. Made my children feel warm and welcome. Then told us the power a morning soak would have. It has lived up! I enjoyed her soul.

My shopping was uplifting and grounding all in one at the beautiful gift shop lobby.

I love that children are welcome here and ask that it never changes.

The upgrades are noticeable and well deserved the property has a zen to it. If you don’t like it then hey keep it moving… It’s peace for me so it’s now my oases.

Oh my check in was 5 mins til close 10pm (lobby)and it was an amazing welcome. The beautiful lady who I was too tired to catch name even gave me a spill on the morning and how to get the most out of our stay.

A hidden gem. Great stop with the added bonus of a mineral bath included in the price of a room. Older motel you get park outside your room. Modern furnishings. Clean. Skip the chain hotel. Go for an adventure. Wifi. Couch for tv viewing. Full bath.

Our first time here! Relaxed, casual vibe with a super nice guy running the front! Roof top tub was private and clean. Also some fun stuff at the gift shop. A definite place worth stopping for a soak! We will be back!!😁

I stayed for one night so I wasn't able to get the full "hot-springs in Truth or Consequences" experience, but this hotel surpassed my expectations. Our room (Rainforest Rendezvous) was very quaint and comfortable; the kitchen area already had plates, a kettle, and other kitchen necessities which was a welcome addition. The hot water in the shower and sink took a little while to get hot, but I guess that's what the hot springs are for...

The people there were also kind enough to quickly notify me that I had left my jacket at the hotel, and even mailed it to be me a few states over, which shows how much they care about their customers even after they leave the hotel.

Take from all that what you will, but I recommend staying here if you're curious about the area and want somewhere nice to stay.

We loved our stay here! The moon room was classy, modern. Everything was clean. Staff was helpful and the pools were great. Almost no one there when we went in December. TorC itself is cute, quaint. We had a great time hiking and checking out the antique shops. So nature nearby. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The coolest curated gift shop in town with lots of tastefully selected crystals, silver jewelry, plenty of local consigners, art supplies, books, tarot and other fun occult trinkets, incense, natural skincare, makeup, and body care and so much more!

The Charles is also the best place to soak indoors and outdoors, hands down! With newly remodeled beautiful tile tubs that are cleaned between each guest (most places cannot claim this level of cleanliness, and they don't even clean their tubs at the end of the day 🤢), a very relaxing energy with soothing music and the ever wafting aroma of incense, sustainable Palo Santo or Sage, this place feels fresh and clean both energetically and physically each time I visit.

They also have the lowest prices in town at this point for indoor soaks (get a discount when you bring your own towel!) Which just cannot be beat by other crusty places who make no attempt to tend to their atmosphere or create a unique spa-like healing experience.

Some other places do have outdoor soaks, but none are on the roof with a magical view of the New Mexico Sky and all of its shooting stars!

Outdoor soaks are mostly by reservation so remember to call ahead. Indoor soaks are first come, first served and there is almost always availability within a few minutes of walking in since they turn over quickly.

I haven't stayed at The Charles, but they are hands down one of the best places to soak! Walk ins welcome, beautiful single tubs inside and super cool soaking on the roof available by appt. The gift shop, Marilyn, the new tile work, just....... ahhhhhhh. If I'm not staying at the glamp camp, I'm soaking at The Charles!!

This place was absolutely adorable and the service and ammenities were great. We stayed in the Mid-Century Mystic room which is a treat for anyone that loves 70s decor. The rooftop tubs are a special spot for a romantic evening under the stars. We will definitely be staying again.

The water and tubs were great and being on the top of the roof was terrific to soak and see the blue sky and sunshine. We really enjoyed the experience! 😃

I like the low key vibe here. I’ve stopped twice recently for a walk-in, no problem getting a tub. Water is a good temp. There is an outdoor tub recommended upstairs.

Attention families with little ones (children under 12): The Charles Hot Springs and Spa is for you! Like literally, this is one of the few places in town that will welcome you and your family. But beyond that very important detail, this hotel is lovely and clean. The rooms are large and a reasonable rate. The folks running the place are kind and accommodating. The grocery store (and dispensary) across the street was very convenient. 10/10, highly recommend.

Truth or Consequences first cast a spell on me during our month-long stay at an Elephant Butte RV campground in October of 2021. If you can only give New Mexico a month of your life, make it October. It’s not about the balloons - though they are spectacular; it’s more about the glorious blue sky they float in, and the mountains that interrupt practically every horizon. October or not, it’s about the alchemy of Spanish, European, and Native American cultures that combine to create the precious metal that New Mexico is made of. For me, TOC is the heart and soul of New Mexico; and, after spending one enchanted night there last month, I believe Charles Hot Springs is the heart and soul of TOC. All I wanted was an economical place to sleep in a handy location for downtown. When I checked in and was asked to choose which theme I wanted for my room, it just made me weary. I envisioned a bunch of cheesy decorative clutter, when I was just looking for clean and convenient overnight accommodations. Shame on me. Clean was more like immaculate, convenient was a short walk to anything I wanted, and cheesy clutter was tasteful warmth that felt so personal that I never wanted to leave. You won’t either.

All the other hot springs in town turned us away, but the friendly host at Charles accommodated me and my 3-year-old. Private and relaxing!

The two attendants, Marilyn and a gentleman, were amazing. They are half the reason to go there as they made me feel like a million bucks

The soak was excellent. I was overdue for the therapy, and I felt so much better after the soak. This on is different from the ones where I live. There is NO Sulphur smell in the Charles hot springs water! Can't wait to return here again!

Great rooms. The baths just got updated and they are absolutely beautiful. We frequent this place for gifts, snacks, and hot baths. It's great to see time, energy, and money invested in a small business. The owner is doing things right.

Been coming here since I was six years old. The Charles is like a second home. Always interesting people coming in and out. The only hot springs tubs that are able to be cleaned in between customers, which, is noteworthy considering the array of bodies that can roll in and out of the shared waters at other hot springs establishments in TorC...
The only rooftop hot tub Jacuzzis in town and very reasonably priced. I've frequented the rooms but never actually stayed in them. They're all getting amazing upgrades, surely to appeal the aesthetic tastes of many a weary traveler.

This place is amazeballs! The man working was very helpful and the soak was fantastic. Very reasonably priced too. Will definitely return!!

Wonderful large room with unique decor. Lobby is beautiful. The baths are excellent and private so no need for a bathing suit. Air conditioning works well in the summer desert heat. Easy to walk through town and grocery right across the street.

Man what a cool place. Cool people. Relaxing. On our 2k mile road trip this has been our best stay yet. Tons of characters. We feel so bad because we tried to cook some pot pies in the oven and burnt them. Setting off the alarm. It was a debacle. But they were super nice.

I would recommend the stay. Also I'm a bigger person. The tubs look small online. I was worried I wouldn't fit. No problem. They are much bigger in person. I think anyone under 450lbs could fully submerged. The privacy is nice too. I like going to hot springs. Hate people staring at me. This worked well.
