El Faro

I've dined here for breakfast twice and I ordered the Huevos a la mexicana both times and enjoyed the way it came out most definately, my father said that the chorizo was good also. There's only so many options to eat out at in this town, I recommend El Faro. Service was great too. A fair amount of parking and nice location. Nice atmosphere, nice lighting.

Wonderful authentic SW Mexican!!! Nothing like it when you visit Truth or Consequences NM. Hubby had fajitas and I had the JUMBO El Jeffe Burrito with carne asada!! Our 2nd time to eat here & always good!!

I've come to really like this place. Nice central location. Nice food. Nice service. I got the hot green chile and it was hot but not too hot it was perfect. Still have to try more of their menu I've liked everything I've had so far. Remember tamales with actual meat inside? Yep El Faro has those.

Went in for breakfast. The service was outstanding as they were fairly busy and she was the only waitress working. At her recommendation we ordered the Machacha burrito Christmas. It was awesome! They offer three levels of heat to the sauce and we ordered medium which was a little wimpy. Both the red and green chili sauces were delicious. Thank you for a great breakfast!

A top choice around town it seems, had the cheese burger and for the price and the size I can say I enjoyed it. Would order it again. And of course the mexican food is great. Reasonable prices and great service.

I have a rating system called the 3 D’S. Delish, Delightful and Delectable. I have eaten here once before years ago. Same gracious staff. Plenty of room. Great location in T or C. Walkable and street friendly. Headed to soak in the hot springs. Will update you!

I've been to El Faros several times and I always love their food! The staff is friendly and attentive. I highly recommend.

While in Truth or consequences we visited this establishment 3 times. Twice we came at night and had the most amazing experience. Everything was taken care of so quickly, waitress was extremely kind and welcoming and food was amazing. Truly an above and beyond experience.

We also came for lunch and had a different server and a completly different experience. We were left ungreeted and without menus for a very long period of time. The server did rush by us and say sorry for the wait at one point, which was fine it was busy, but it would have been nicer waiting with menus as we wanted to try something different this time. After awhile we considered leaving but I loves the food so much we waited. Finally got drinks and ordered. Noticed we didn't get chips this time and thought maybe they didn't do that for lunch, but then the table next to us got chips and we started to wonder if the server just didn't like us. The first order she brought out was wrong, but clearly a miscommunication so no problem. But then the second order brought out was also wrong. I ordered chicken and got beef. At this point it was starving so just ate it. Was still amazing so whatever. Because everything had been so slow I had told her when she brought out our lunch that we wanted flan for desert. We finished the meal, put our plate on the edge of the table and again were ignored. I eventually walked up to the counter and ordered dessert there. We also had a coffee that we never got a refill for, but just gave up on. We were there for well over an hour when we just wanted a quick lunch. Still giving it a 5 star review because the dinner server went so above and beyond. Maybe just don't go for lunch.

Was very delicious food they did a great job with as many people that were eating there.

Nice little bar type restaurant in downtown T or C. Good food and atmosphere, friendly staff. The chips and salsa were excellent. I had the enchiladas montadas. 2 eggs over red cheese enchiladas. Great flavor. Will definitely go back.

My go to dish at El Faro is the Buffalo Chicken Tots. Their menu has just about anything for any taste pallete. Love their cheese flan too! Even to go orders get their free chips and salsa. I'd definitely recommend eating here.

I have eaten here for years but never ordered the tilapia plate. I try very hard today gluetin free and I saw someone eat this! It was so perfectly cooked, seasoned well and I ate it all!

I had the best breakfast burrito of my life here at El Faro. I highly recommend the chorizo—it’s DELICIOUS!!!! Plus they were the only breakfast place open on Wednesday morning. Staff was prompt and friendly. Prices were very reasonable. Come here for breakfast!!

Great food. If you are in Truth or Consequences I highly recommend you eat here. Chile rellenos were amazing.

I ate a bean, cheese and beef burrito last night, and let me tell you, it was delicious. My compliments to the chef and staff! Thank you, and bravo!

Favorite place in town. I've been there dozens of times. The service is excellent. The food is wonderful. I highly recommend the Mexican Hamburger Steak, the Skirt steak, the chimichanga, and the shrimp tacos. The salsa that comes with the chips is amazing! You can choose your spice level to customize your meal too! All that just a couple steps from the brewery. A+

First of all let me say the salsa is delicious. I had a chimichanga and a taco and my son had a taco plate, both were delicious as well. Our server was great too. All around it was a great experience.
