One of our favorite trails. Rather easy and the waterfall is pretty. We always hike up the right side and come down on the waterfall side so the kids can play in the water when we're done hiking. Plus, there are beautiful views at the top.
**If you're looking for a beginner's trail, this would be perfect!

The family and I had a WONDERFUL time hiking up to the falls!! Such a great little hike, there are a couple spots that are a little steep for the Littles or elderly but wonderful for a short hike. After, we even had a picnic on some tables that were right by the stream!! The furnace was awesome as well!!

A nice and enjoyable walk along the falls with great views and around the loop to the furnace then back.a nice walk on a sunday morning out in the fresh air good parking has a bathroom more like an out house but there if its needed.the loop is about 1.5 miles slight incline nothing to steep but may get alittle muddy in some places after some rain but not a big deal

Really pretty and shaded, river to the left, landmark to the right, both are cool but I liked the river side more. It’s worth the hike. Wear pants and touch none of the plants on the sides of the trial because it’s littered with poison ivy and poison oak. I wore leggings with socks and hiking boots and short sleeve shirt. Don’t bring anyone with difficulty walking, or wheelchairs and strollers. The trail is intermediate in that there’s lots of rocks and tree limbs and bridges that have over 1 ft step ups. Dogs do fine from 8 lb to 80 lb. Not sure about other sizes. Toddlers are no walking but a 4 year old and up could manage with some help. Enjoy!!

This was an easy trail that had beautiful views the whole time. There are several beautiful waterfalls along the way. Seemed like there would be several places for children to swim at. There was a bathroom facility at the beginning of the trail. I'd definitely check this place out if you enjoy hiking.

Good moderate hike with several stair sections but easy to place. Lots of spots to dip your toes in the creek if you want. Trail can be muddy and/or slick in some places after rain. Go out and back from the parking lot or take the loop and get an overhead view before or after enjoying the falls and creek. Historic Iron Furnace on site.

We took our time to take in the sights. We were the only ones there, so it was a very relaxing pace.

Beautiful trail. Easy-medium hike good for kids and dogs. Gorgeous little waterfalls that lead to a couple of swimming holes

This is a nice trail that runs along a scenic stream bed. There are several waterfalls with the best, biggest one at the top end of the trail. The trail goes uphill from the parking area; most of the grades are easy, but the are a number of steps and rocks towards the top end of the trail. The hike is well worth the effort. On summer days you may see folks swimming in the several natural water pools below the falls.

Short hike but a beautiful trail with lots of waterfall pools. Best time to go and see wildflowers blooming is May.

This was a nice trail to walk. The forge side (to the right from the entrance) was a bit tough to walk since most of it was uphill but very rewarding once we reached the creek and waterfall.

We took our dog for a short hike on Roaring Run Loop Trail. It's less than 2 miles, but packs in a lot of scenery. We started on the Streamside Trail that follows Roaring Run upstream. There are a number of nice cascades and slides along the creek. At the next intersection, a left turn goes a short ways to Roaring Run Falls. Even on this short spur, there are a number of slides and small falls. But you'll know when you reach the main falls. It's about 35 feet and really nice as the flow splits around a big rock. Taking the Woodlands Trail back, the other side of the loop goes up above the creek and ends near the Roaring Run Furnace, a 19th century iron furnace.

Went after a day of rain, I see why they call it roaring run. My 2 year old hiked most of the way. Busy trail by Noon. Beautiful hike, definitely worth the trip. Streamside trail out and back might be easier for the littles rather than the loop.

Short easy trail, well maintained, and great views along the water and an old iron furnace with signage to explain how it worked. My 70+ year old father with no major physical issues could handle the trails at a moderate speed.

Beautiful hike!! Easy enough for any age group, but not stroller friendly and I saw a couple older people with canes struggling in some parts. Our 2.5 year old walked nearly the whole thing. We were so struck by the Streamside Trail that we took it back down, too - you get to be right next to the water the whole way with some quaint bridges and plenty of scenery.
