Friendly, family-owned lake-front restaurant with a simple menu - steak or fish - and a breathtaking view of Lake Claiborne. You can’t go wrong with either choice on the menu! Drinks are served in big 32oz “bubba” cups. Homemade bean soup, coleslaw, hush puppies, and mouthwatering pickles are served to everyone family-style. Food is delicious! Service is some of the friendliest around! And don’t forget to order a slice of pie or cake for dessert….it’ll change your life!😊

MAKE A RESERVATION We did not but luckily they had just opened so we were able to get a spot. This place is POPULAR and we now know why. We had the all you can eat family style catfish. I am gluten free so they had a separate plateful of fish and fries fixed and marked gluten free. 🥰 I was thrilled and had no issues. Really great wait staff. They are fast fast fast getting refills and plates of food out. Everyone in our party left nearly miserable because the food is just that good. The beautiful views are just a bonus!

So it takes us about 55 minutes to drive from home to this restaurant and it’s well worth the drive. NO kidding when I say our order is brought to us in less than 5 minutes, Greg and staff have got it together, thank you and keep up the good work . See you soon.

You can always count on a family-friendly atmosphere in this family owned and ran restaurant! We love every one of them and will continue to visit for years to come. It doesn't hurt that the fish and set up is absolutely amazing too.

We've frequented PaP since 1976. Excellent food and service. Portions of fish and fries are considerably smaller than before, and the setup is not as complete as before, either.

Port Au Prince is a landmark and staple of Claiborne Parish. Family owned and operated. Great fish and steak over looking Lake Claiborne. Friendly people. Casual atmosphere. Highly Recommend!

One of my favorites. Love the catfish and all of the sides. Always get both the catfish fillets and the whole catfish.

we drove 1 hr 15 minutes to get this place and did not get disappointed . staff is friendly , couches in the waiting area are comfy, and the view of the lake is awesome . i've had all you can eat catfish but you can not even think about ordering another one because they bring so much food and it is so delicious. coleslaw hush puppies pickle and the bean soup were fantastic. my wife had steak and it was perfectly seasoned. she didnt even need A1 steak sauce. tender and juicy steak. it definitely worth to try this place and we loved it. Thanks to everyone who made our meal very enjoyable...

Fifteen family members went to this restaurant after making reservations. They were ready for us. Our waiter, Sutton, was “Johnny on the spot!” He served us quickly and attended our every need. He was pleasant. He was always smiling and laughed with us. All other staff was also pleasant. We drove an hour to eat there. I’ll definitely go back!

Best meal I have ever had the steak is to die for and the all you can eat catfish is amazing as well. Hus puppies and the bean soup melted in my mouth. Please keep up the good work!

Super friendly staff and a great setting. Only two main course options fried catfish and steak. The specialization allows for nearly perfect dining experience. Cole slaw was really good as were the pickles. My only criticism is that the hush puppies could have been better.

As nearly as I can tell, the restuarant is in the middle of nowhere and yet has been in business over 50 years. You don't stay open that long unless people want to eat there. That fact alone is better than any review.

The BEST fried catfish you will ever eat! Simple, no frills, friendly, family restaurant. Family owned and operated since the beginning. Make the trip and you won't regret it.

When you first pull up it looks like an old house transitioned to a restaurant. Once you are in it has an old grandma's house feel to it also. Then you learn the host is the grandson of original owner and suddenly you feel the charm. The food was so fresh and incredible! I eat at the one in Shreveport regularly but this one knocks it out the park. Incredible friendly home town atmosphere as well as delicious food. From scratch chocolate pie that was so fresh it was still a little warm. I'm gonna dream of their fish. If you are anywhere within the area stop by!! You will not regret it.

Delicious all you can eat catfish and fries. It's either that or a ribeye steak. Reed did a great job keeping it coming hot and fresh. Very enjoyable evening.

Service was quick and courteous. This time I got the steak and fries and enjoyed it greatly. Coleslaw, bean soup, hushpuppies, onions and pickles are all served family style. Light atmosphere that makes you feel like home, the view of the lake is excellent by the way the building is situated on the property.

Menu is easy. All you can eat whole Catfish, Catfish filets, or steak. No kids menu. They do have desserts. I had the 16 oz ribeye and wife had filets. Father in law had whole. All of us left full and happy. Strawberry, chocolate and caramel pies were ordered and devoured. All of this food was eaten with the best view of Lake Claiborne. Recommend
