Such a beautiful and peaceful place. If you are looking for a change from the hustle and bustle of commercial commercial campgrounds, state parks are the way to go! Also, you can't beat the price! Will definitely be back. Plan to make this an annual trip.

We had a pleasant picnic here. In nice weather it was perfect, quiet and scenic. Some birds around to see and hear. Plenty of parking now, probably busy in summer. I'd definitely go back.

Pocomoke River State Park is one of our favorites to visit! In the Spring it's so refreshing to breathe in fresh air. In Summer, we are delighted with pool access, ice cream cones and s'mores, paddling around the river, or 30 minutes to OC and Assateague Island. And, in Autumn (when kids are firmly back into school), adults can enjoy the gorgeous array of colors portrayed in the leaves and reflected upon the water! Magnificent!

Beautiful sites for camping, some with electric (no water at sites). Great boat launch area with docks. Fishing. Hiking trails. Nature Center. Well provisioned camp store.

This is one of the nicest state parks we have stayed in. There are no sewer or water hookups, although there are water spigots in the centers of each camping loop. There are some loops with 30 amp electricity, and some loops allow dogs. Every site is heavily wooded, so there is no chance of a satellite signal. Cell service, both AT&T and Verizon, is slow. But every site is beautiful. The bathrooms are fairly new and are clean. Staff is friendly. The trails in the park are nice, but be sure to bring plenty of tick spray because the ticks are ridiculously numerous. They weren't bad in our site, but we picked up over 20 on us and our dogs when walking the trails. We have a 40' motorhome and F-150 and our site, Deer Run loop site 115, was plenty deep enough for both.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here.

This is absolutely our favorite place to camp. Each site is wooded and gives you some shade and privacy. The bath houses are always so clean with plenty of hot water to shower after a day exploring the beautiful trails. We talk about trying other places, but always end up coming here because we love it so much.

Great park to visit. Stayed at Shad's landing in a camper. Very quiet and relaxing spot to camp. Easy access to the water for kayaking. Had a great time visiting the nature center. The employees were very knowledgeable and welcoming. Fun playground for the kiddos. Pool was great. They provide life jackets for all children. They do not allow water wings for safety. Beautiful location to visit and relax.

Great place to camp. The bathrooms are clean and the shower was nice and hot with a lot of pressure. Only two complaints- there are only two showers in the bath house and there is a lot of barking at all hours. Other than that it is a beautiful place with lots to do.

This is certainly one of the best campground I have been to. I did see quite a bit of rat snakes and large poisonous spiders and wood roaches. But I did not get bit by any sand fleas and barely got bitten by any mosquitos. We did have alot of ticks on us....but the area is beautiful, the park is well maintained and everyone was so kind! I am definetly going here again!!

Nice campground. Decent sized camping spots with picnic table. Clean bathhouse. Quiet. No full hook ups. Electric only in certain camping areas. Water is available. If you want affordable camping, this is the place!!

Very pretty Park. Docks on the river and kayak rentals available. Hiking trails looked nice, but it rained our whole visit so hard, didn't walk them. Bathhouse was so clean! Camping spots are roomy and in the woods, water hookups are sparse and not at sites with electric. Fill your RV water tank before arriving. We will return again.

This is our favorite campground. We love the easy access to the river. They even offer boat slips to rent if staying at campground for convenience. Bath houses are always clean and staff is super friendly.

Nice park. Uncrowded mid May.

1/3 of sites have electric hookup. Potable water nearby but not dedicated to specific campsites. Dump station in park. No trash or recycle bins, must carry out.

got to the park early in the morning with my dog, and we were so lucky! It was lush, verdant, and tranquil--one of few places that afforded shade and wooded trails where my dog and I could walk. We heard birds, frogs, and enjoyed the spring blooms.

Very large state park. The RV sites are large. They only have electric no water or sewer. They do have a dump and potable water to fill up your water tank. Nice fire ring that can also be used to cook on. A lot of fishing is done at this park. No swimming in the river. They do have a pool that is presently under construction. It is October so no swimming would happen. Very friendly place.

Made a quick stop since it was a rainy day. We were on our way home from a vacation and wanted a place to do First Day Hike. Glad we stopped here. The state park had a hike posted with signs. It led us to the Nature Center. We were kindly greeted, offered a First Day Hike sticker, and hot chocolate. The center itself was wonderful too. Lots of exhibits with live snakes and turtles.
