River House Inn

Lisa, Bonnie, and Joe all made our stay very comfortable. It’s a cute little place walking distance to shops and a bar with live music. The Inn has a pool and plenty of spots around the property to enjoy a book. Nice state park just down the road. Very dog friendly and even cooked our girl some bacon at breakfast. Human food was great too. 10/10 will visit again.

Stayed at the Inn recently for a cycling trip in the Snow Hill area. The Inn is located right on the Pocomoke River, with awesome views of the river from the porches and the pool area. The folks who run the place could not have been more gracious, welcoming, hospitable or charming. Joe is a gem and a rockstar host! Snow Hill is a special little town. All the charm of Berlin, but much more serene and peaceful. If you are looking for a venue for a getaway, a wedding or a group stay, you can stop looking now.

Bonnie and Lisa the innkeepers are gracious, generous, and gorgeous. The inn is beautiful and spacious. Lots of different rooms and spaces. Breakfast is awesome too. Always specials. We got a a room in the rear overlooking the river. Going to comeback and relax.

The River House Inn was the perfect spot for us to unwind from a long grueling day. To be able to come back, find great food in walking distance and then to sit in our chairs and watch the river take our cares away until the sunset was just what we needed. The breakfast was the same each day, but the food was fresh and tasty, not to mention the service was friendly and attentive. I hope we are able to come back when our load is lighter, so we can truly appreciate all that the area has to offer and that this quaint and comfy Inn is just waiting to welcome us home to. Beautiful! Loved our stay! Great location! Clean and had everything we needed! Breakfast was delicious! The Inn is in a perfect location, close to the water, sites and restaurants.

We decided to take a spontaneous trip to Snow Hill, a quaint town that we wanted to visit. The River House had a delicious breakfast with fresh fruits, muffins, bacon-, home fried potatoes and eggs of your choice. One day breakfast featured eggs Benedict which were perfect. I can attest to the famous waffles too...better than mine!
Dwayne and Rick are friendly plus we loved the black lab Orca.
The pool is inviting and the grounds are nice for a stroll. We stayed in the West room, which is spacious and clean. Comfy king bed too. We enjoyed cocktails and coffee on the screened balcony porch on the second floor.
Lots of restaurants near by and 15 miles from Berlin. It's a short drive to Ocean City too.
Overall, a good experience.

My husband and I spent a long weekend along with our two dogs at the River House Inn. We had a fabulous time and plan on going back. The owners are kind, very friendly, attentive and care about their guests having a enjoyable time. Being able to vacation with your pets is a rare find. The property is fenced in, allowing for the dogs to run free. The breakfasts are delicious and made to order. We were thoroughly pleased and recommend this B&B highly.

Loved our stay at the River House Inn. The host were gracious and we were met with a keg of beer and a couple boxes of wine which we had full access to. Our room was spacious with his own private bath. The breakfast was absolutely delicious . All the food was fresh and made to order. the small town had three restaurants we particularly loved the Harvest moon Restaurant. The food and atmosphere was wonderful

You will not find a better place to stay. The view and atmosphere is perfect and quiet for anytime of year. The breakfast is custom to your liking and delicious. There is definitely plenty to do if you don't have plans already. With town only a stones throw away. And the host's are the very best you can ever ask for extra accommodating for those special times with your loves ones.

My wife and I often stay at bed and breakfasts and this one did not disappoint! In fact, it was probably our favorite one ever. From the warm, welcoming staff, to the beautiful backyard setup, to the super tasty, very homemade breakfast (even homemade muffins and waffles), this place didn’t miss any details. We will definitely be back to enjoy some more wine under their gazebo!

I can not say enough good things about The River House Inn. We had our wedding there this past September and Rick and Dwayne were great. They were very flexible and accommodating. We rented the cottages and rooms in the house so they were great as we "took over" for our wedding festivities. All of our out of town guests loved the property. We plan to go back for our anniversary. Best breakfast around! Thanks guys!!

Though it could use some TLC in some areas, I would still rate this place a 10 for it's laid-back atmosphere, free wine and delicious breakfast. Our double twin bed room was adorable. Nice sized and we'll air-conditioned. WiFi as well. They owners are friendly and have dogs. There's a giant backyard by the water to walk around and relax by as well as a nice seating area by the pool.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay for 4 nights over Easter weekend. The owners are so pleasant and extremely accommodating. They serve a first class breakfast catering to all tastes, no one could possibly go hungry. We will be returning with all our friends to celebrate our anniversary this summer. We highly recommend the B&B, the owners and Snow Hill itself.

We had at really great time, and loved this inn--so comfy and cozy! The bed was comfortable, the fire was nice, we loved being in a separate little cabin. The only way anything could have been better is if there had been a big hot tub outside the cabin, but the big jacuzzi tub was almost as good. (I understand an outside hot tub is in the future plans!) Nice fluffy towels. Plenty of pillows of varying sizes and firmness. Also, the innkeepers made us popcorn on request! And breakfast was one of the best we've ever had at a B&B. We'll definitely be back...

My Wife and I visited River House celebrating our 4 year anniversary and we left recharged and relaxed! The accommodation and hospitality were great. The location in town and right on the river was ideal. The innkeepers were excellent host and the breakfast did not disappoint! Our few hours by the pool with a few drinks, after our 2 hour paddle on the Pocomoke river were well earned and very relaxing. Thank you for everything!

My fiancee and I booked a stay here because I've never been to a B&B before. Absolutely amazing, magical, and just the most fantastic weekend imaginable. Thank you Rick and Dwayne!!! The breakfast is out of this world fantastic....and yes those waffles are amazingly delicious.
What made our visit so wonderful was the hospitality of Rick, Dwayne and Bonnie. We felt like family instantly!! You guys have re-written the definition of hospitality!! And We loved our time spent with Orca and Willow!!!!
We can't wait to come back and have a longer stay.

We found this place while looking for a pet friendly place to stay near Assateague. What a find! This place is not only pet friendly, but their own dog, Orca is a bit of a local celebrity. Our dogs became friends and they enjoyed the pool on those 95 to 98 degree days we had while staying. We stayed in the river cottage (the cottages are where pets are permitted, higher in price, but worth it) it was private and I loved having coffee on our private screened porch. The town is quaint with little shops (although not much in the way of restaurants) and is 1/2 hour from Assateague. The owners were kind and friendly but also gave us space. The grounds are beautiful. (Bring bug spray if you are planning on walking near the river) I would stay there again if we return to the area.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights, and will definitely return the next time we swing through that area. The house is beautiful. Our room was large, clean, and very comfortable. The pool was clean and well maintained. The owners are extremely friendly. The breakfasts are amazing. You can eat anywhere from a small, light breakfast, to one that is so filling that you can easily skip lunch. Snow Hill is a cute little town, and convenient to essentially all of the Eastern Shore. We used this B&B as our launching point to explore Assateague and Chincoteague. It's also very close to Ocean City, if you'd like to go to OC but avoid the exorbitant hotel prices there. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Stayed for 2 nights for a quick getaway... could not be happier about my visit. The room was spacious and inviting, the breakfast was delicious, and the innkeepers made me feel like a part of their extended family. Highly recommend staying here!

Not sure where that last review came from? I noticed it was 3 years old. The new owner are outstanding and the place itself was in every category excellent. The grounds are beautiful, there is a pool and the Pocomoke river is just 50 yards away. Location could not be better. There is a kayak and canoe place within a five minute walk. If you haven't been to the Snow Hill, you are missing one of the hidden gems of the Eastern Shore. More than all that, the owners could not have been nicer. My partner and I felt welcome the minute we walked in. Highest recommendation!
