Capt E's Hurricane Grill and Tiki Bar

Robbie was a great server. Food freshly cooked and delicious 😋 I had clam fritters that were the best I ever had, crispy on the outside and soft and tasty on the inside.

Captain E’s is a hidden gem tucked away in a small town sitting on the Pocomoke. This isn’t a spot slinging craft beers and pristinely plated food. It’s the kind of place serving genuine homestyle southern cooking, well-priced cocktails, and friendly service. The fried fish is flavorful and generously portioned. The fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese are a perfect pairing. And you’ve got to try the cinnamon butter.

The decor, plating, and atmosphere are truly no frills. Expect poured concrete floors, a bar packed with locals, and folding chairs. There are a few TVs and country music playing for entertainment. In the summer, they have an outdoor tiki bar just steps from the water. Great local option if you’re looking for a unique dive bar (using that term affectionately) and/or some great home cooking.

Wonderful and unassuming local bar on the water. Excellent local seafood, Smith Island cake, and a nice bar. Tiki bar outside I. The warmer months, and it’s right on the water by the town dock. Very chill and friendly. WiFi available as well.

Had a great ribeye here and a fantastic time chatting with the owner and staff. Got here not long before close and they still happily served me. I will definitely come here again.

Hidden treasure! Best crab cakes I have ever had. The view is amazing and the Tiki bar is pretty cool too. The waitress was awesome. I will definitely return.

What a beautiful place to hang out on the water and spend a day outdoors. The hurricane I had was delicious. Food and service were fast and tasty. Our server Will was a sweetheart and a great asset.

I’ll tell you what, I’m not sure it’s possible to find a seafood restaurant closer to the place the food comes from then here. No frills and gorgeous views, I’ll happily make the drive to have crab fries and cheap beer looking at that sunset.

The food is great, but the people make it worth another visit! As our waitress said "You never meet a stranger here"

Great little place in the middle of nowhere. Good food,great service & amazing view

To start with the food is absolutely delicious. They have a unique selection of seafood and meat, all homemade and cooked to order from hand cut steaks to lump crab cakes. The views are beautiful and atmosphere Caribbean like. The owners treat you like family. This restaurant is great for couples, friends or families. Thank you Vinnie for the awesome experience and the fresh squeezed crushes. 😁😁😁 Can't wait to return.

Best oysters we had in a long time... worth the drive to get there!!

Came from Springfield, VA to check out Saxis, VA for the weekend. Went kayaking / camping and decided to check this place out. Amazing food! From the crab cakes to the cod, coleslaw, and fries! The staff was amazing! Very friendly and funny people! Our waiter kept on bringing us refills because she knew we were thirsty.

Drove over an hour for the crabcakes and I wasn't disappointed. Everything on the menu is great, and the bartender makes a mean orange crush. Went with a group of 8 on a weeknight and had a great time. We had an early dinner and it was starting to get lively as we were finishing up as it was 80s music night. Neat place. Nice view. Lively and spirited staff.

We went there this week and we have never been treated so good at any other restaurant I've ever been. My husband and I like to travel and try different places to eat & we ended up here as we were on a camping trip & decided to try Captain E's. People were the friendliest and made is seem like we were regular customers and they had known us forever. Will definitely go back. FOOD WAS AMAZING. My husband said this was the best crab cake he ever had. It was made with lump crab meat and was awesome. Thank you for such an amazing time. View was amazing.

Absolutely wonderful . Food was well plated & Delicious.( Flounder dinner , Steamed shrimp & Oyster Fritters ) Dessert was Awesome ( strawberry short cake & Chocolate Pie ) ..SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT, fast & friendly . I highly recommend you visit an eat here soon & often !

Great crab cakes! We have been there only a few times because the location is so remote but every time we go the food is always very good. We are even more excited because we just heard a rumor that they may have another permanent waterfront location in Chincoteague! We hope it's true and can't wait to enjoy their crab cakes while vacationing on the island! We will definitely be there.

This has to be the coolest place no ones ever heard of! The food service is always slow, unfortunately, but all the staff are super nice and the place is just super cool. Amazing atmosphere and views. Can absolutely not wait to go back, one of my favorite place to visit when in the area. Also, the BEST crabcake sandwiches you could ever possibly find!
