In short, I prepped everything to make his life easy though he showed up late, did incomplete work and then yelled at us.

I should have wait for Deglar Plumbing (as a few other people told me to) but I couldn't afford waiting over the weekend for a possible opening on Monday so I contacted Washington instead...

Longer version:
I scheduled the job on a Wednesday and he said he'd be there on Friday. When I called on Friday, he said he'll be right over. I called back 30 minutes later to see what 'right over' meant to him and he said 30-45 minutes more and eventually showed up 1.5 hours later. Maybe part of the setup for lowering expectations?

Immediately after showing up, he trying to sell us on a new drain field without any investigation/testing or clear explanation of the cause, just kept saying, 'drain field', 'drain field'.

He would not completely pump out everything from the septic, even after we showed him how there were still solids down there. We dug up both access points to the septic prior to his arrival and shined a flashlight down there so he could see yet he claimed that isn't possible and wouldn't even try to finish the job. I politely expressed how this was our opportunity to do the work yet he immediately became defensive and told his worked to put the hose on the truck. My friend started to explain how this isn't right and Washington started yelling at us that he can't pump out anymore and this is what he does for everyone. My friend pointed out that he's dealt with him before and how it wasn't done properly then either which is why he wanted to show him how it wasn't completely pumped. As I returned with the checkbook to pay him ($400 for 20 minutes of poor salesmanship, poor quality of work, etc) , his posture and demeanor was that of someone who was extremely disturbed.

There was no need to behave so emotional and unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend Washington to anyone who values professionalism.

My hot water heater bust ..no one in Barnwell country or near by answer there phone.that a shame.
