The Art of Barbering

This is an absolutely amazing barbershop, with an even better barber. I love the whole experience of getting my haircut by Caleb Poling. From booking my appointment online, to the cut, the cleanliness of the shop, the great conversation, it’s the best barbershop I have ever been to.

Caleb is an absolute professional and an amazing talent. I have been to a lot of barbers, and Caleb is by far the best barber to touch my head. My hair is grey and hard to blend, Caleb does with ease. I give him a little guidance and he gives me exactly what I want every time. I highly recommend this place and ask for Caleb.

My friend Jeffery Dover recommended this place. I have a 3 yr old grandson with autism and it's always a traumatic experience for him and his mom to have his haircut. When I heard about this place and messaged the owner, he said he'd be glad to work with our grandson and that he had experience with some kids with autism. Was my grandson willing, no. Was Caleb patient, yes. Did my grandson cry and scream, yes. BUT he also had moments of complete silence and ease (something we've not experienced before). Everyone in the shop was cheering our little 3 yr old on and we got a very nice haircut accomplished in a very reasonable amount of time. Caleb has such a gentle, sweet spirit about him that I believe my grandson could sense that. As soon as we finished, he was giving everyone high fives. If they lived here, we would go to Caleb as often as needed for haircuts. He never even broke a sweat! Thank you so much for taking care of our little guy. We'll definitely be back when they are in for a visit! I highly recommend Caleb and his coworker was awesome helping out afterwards with the mess we made too.

Showed up, small little shop but nice! Chris was my barber, told him what I wanted and he nailed it first time! I'm very pleased, I'm glad I don't have to worry bout jacked up haircuts anymore! Keep up the good work guys!

My brother, uncle and myself stopped in today to get haircuts and beard trims. Caleb has to be one of the best barbers I’ve ever met. The whole experience was great and I definitely felt at home. I will be back as soon as I need another haircut or beard trim. Thanks again!!!

The best haircuts one could ever ask for. In my spare time, I’m a WWII Reenactor. Caleb and I talked about how I want to make sure my cuts are authentic. He had it down to an art and was sharply precise.

Got my beard trimmed there by Chris, was a first for me and he did a great job. Lacy cut one of my kids hair and Chris cut the other; best haircuts my kids have ever had and the first time it's passed my inspection. My kids thoroughly enjoyed it and, though pricey, I will take them back at times. Also, I picked up a bar of Squatch pine soap and it's amazing!!

Took my son and daughter and all three of us got haircuts. The lady that did our hair did a great job and was awesome with kids. I'll absolutely be back.

Caleb is great! He has done my husband's hair and he loved it. He has stated he will keep going back. Caleb also did my oldest son's hair just before his move to the Dallas area to find work. First interview he got the job. Both situations were walk-ins and we didn't wait very long. We highly recommend Caleb for all your Barber needs!

I highly recommend Caleb “The Lufkin Barber” to anyone looking for the best haircut in town. I can especially attest to his fading and straight-razor face shaving skills. He listens to and does what the customer requests and makes sure you’re satisfied before leaving.

Caleb is an outstanding barber and fine young man! He has been cutting my hair for a while (while going through Barber School). No matter what you ask for, he has some mad skillls with a trimmer and scissors (and blade-work). Highly recommended!

I have seen many of Caleb’s haircuts, and they are great examples of perfection. Caleb tries very hard to please his customer. He is a master barber and knows the lastest styles. You will like the haircut he gives.

The name says it all. If you walk in and ask for a 4 3 haircut, they will gladly oblige. As they will if you ask for a razor cut layered pompador and a beard trim. Its the only place I know short of Dallas or Houston that can do a real flat top.
They are so busy these days that it's an absolute must that you at least call ahead, and you will probably need to make an appointment.
