Suter Falls

The waterfall was awesome today after all the rain. The trail is pretty difficult and a bit scary in places so take your time. The waterfall feels very remote, as I had the place all to myself.

It was moderately challenging hike down to the falls, which I loved. Even with my poor choice of footwear I was able to traverse the rocks and steps once the path got challenging. With I would have had longer to check out the area more.

Best part was these falls weren't dry like some of the others I've been to recently 😅
I didn't see any latrine facilities, so if you expect to need that,plan accordingly 👍

Will likely be back

A very rocky and wet hike down but I would still rate it a an even moderate hike overall. It feels like you enter into a whole different world when you arrive at the caves and falls. Highly recommend this hike. It was 65 degrees and there was still a pile of snow at the falls.

This is a beautiful area to hike to and from with a slight climb up ridge returning to Collins Gulf main trail.
I will throw this cautionary statement in for those who maybe sight impaired, knee, hip or balance issues this may not be a hike for you.
As you descend ridge trail becomes very rocky with many roots with uneven footing most of the walk.
Once in the Falls area its a wonderful bluff with lush Mountain plants and beautiful rock formations. A great place to stop contemplate life and enjoy the cool air provided. As you know the Falls size depends on rain fall recently, it was minimal day I visited but the beauty of this area makes this a worthy place to visit. Also there is a nice paved parking area with map of Collins Gulf area before departing parking area, trail is marked well both ways.
So if Falls hiking is your thing add this 1 to your list I'm sure you'll enjoy.

Very pretty waterfall and surrounding area. The hike in is not that long so if you’re looking for a more challenging and longer hike, keep on the trail all the way to Horsepound Falls, another beautiful waterfall.

Rocky terrain with a switchback trail and several slippery spots on the way. Not recommended for young kids, elderly or someone with hip/knee/ankle issues.

Beautiful waterfall. It's a nice easy hike to get to it. Keep your eye out for snakes. We almost stepped on a rattlesnake just before getting to the falls. He was sitting in a sunny spot. The water is super cold and refreshing.

This is a wonderful, but more strenuous trail. Suter Falls is about a mile in on the Horsepound Falls Trail and can be reached fairly quickly.

Short but steep trail with nice little waterfall in the end. After that we even had time to stop by Savage Fall for a 2nd hike (only 15’ away)

Suter Falls was awesome! The approach to the falls was such a treat. We went backpacking, and Horsepound Falls is nearby, which was amazing, too.

The rock formations leading up. to these falls were really cool. We hiked it with a 6 and 8 year old. We needed to remind them to stay away from the edge of a few ledges, but it was nothing they couldn't handle. They also really enjoyed the suspension bridge.

Nice little falls. It's a pretty tough hike, but it's short enough for most people in fairly good shape to make.

A niceshort walk. Wet when there has beed rain. Lovely even in Winter.

Very special place. Giant rock overhang with a beautiful waterfall. Short hike.

Great hike! The hike to Suter was nice and the waterfalls is amazing. The day we hiked we also went to horsepound falls which is a little bit more challenging. Overall highly recommended and an amazing waterfall to see with great scenery!

I wouldn't do this one as a first time hike but it wasn't too bad.

Had a great time hiking the trails here! Very clean, will be coming back here often! Beautiful and serene!
