Junkyard Dog Steakhouse

We came here for lunch today. There were four of us and we were seated right away. Our server was super friendly and took our orders with a smile. We ordered the Cuban Sandwich with sweet potato fries, Chicken Tenders,(they were huge!), mashed potatoes, and baked beans, Jalapeño Burger with fries, and Shrimp Scampi. We all enjoyed our meals! The rustic decor was interesting and fun to look at while we waited for our meals.

Junkyard Dog Steakhouse in Hohenwald, TN, might be off the beaten path, but it's absolutely worth the drive. Nestled away, it's a hidden gem boasting some of the best Ribeye steaks you'll find in middle Tennessee. The Ribeye is a true masterpiece, seasoned to perfection and boasting impeccable marbling that enhances every savory bite. And let's talk about the sides—corn on the cob and fried okra that are simply unbeatable, complementing the star of the show with their own burst of flavor and texture. Great atmosphere, little hole in the wall building, but great place to hangout.

If you are staying at Thousand Trails Natchez Trace and just need to eat out, this is the place. Food was amazing. I had the grilled pork chop and it was 3/4" thick and so juicy. Good prices.

We are out of towners and went to The Junkyard Dog and from the moment of walking in the door we loved the atmosphere and was greeted by Debra who had a smile and was happy to see us! Service was on point and the food was great! My husband and I got the Jalapeño Burger and the BBQ bacon burger with French fries and an order of fried pickles! We split the burgers between ourselves and I’m not sure which was better! We had a great time! Can’t wait to come back for our yearly trip!

This place is awesome! We went at a down time and the food was hot and yummy. My wife had the shrimp platter and was able to get a small portion to taste and just like she said, wow delicious. I had the Hawaiian ChChicn with smashed potatoes and Ocora nothing was wasted on my plate. The waiter "James" was beyond amazing. The atmosphere was cool and a big "YES" we 🐝 going back. Put this on your bucket list yah won't be disappointed.

Holy Heaven, a must have. I've traveled the world & no joke some of the best steak I've ever had. Cooked & seasoned perfectly. Wow very impressed. This place blew any expectations I had for it. Out of towner! Would come back just for this food!

We got the crab dip as an app, and the firecracker shrimp app with dinner. I had the sirloin steak & my BF had the NY strip. Everything was so good. The bread that came with the crab dip was addictive! We will definitely come back when we are in the area!

I've only been here twice, but both times the food was wonderful. Junkyard Dog starts you off with a wonderfully textured bread while you wait for your entree. I went with the pulled pork this time and was impressed. Everything is reasonably priced as well. The service was expedient and the server was friendly. I will be back (hopefully soon) to enjoy another delicious meal.

We both liked everything we ordered. The food is probably not scratch-made at the restaurant, but it’s still good. Servers were very nice. This is now my favorite sit-down restaurant in the area.

A hidden gem in the midst of this small town. I got the Ragin' Cajun, cooked rare and it was perfect. The mashed potatoes and gravy were phenomenal, as were the onion rings. The bread beforehand is fantastic. Their prices are a little steep, but for the high quality food you're getting, it's worth it. Our server Nichole was fun and friendly, and really made the whole experience.

We don't get to Hohenwald often but when we do, it's to make a special trip to Junkyard Dog. The service is great, staff is friendly and the food is some of the best around. Their loaded baked potato soup is probably in the top 3 of best ever.

I book the room for surprise graduation party for my oldest this past Saturday. The waiter was awesome! He join in the club with my entire family where we have game of Cooties 😂😂😂 if you haven’t been involved with my family then you wouldn’t understand the game lol! The foods was so good and desserts as well!

I fail to the ground after eating my dinner. That booth was a step down and I just wasn't expecting it. Food was good and I will definitely get a table next time

The best place to eat in tennessee in my opinion. Every thing is fresh and I've not had anything that wasn't delicious off their menu. Atmosphere is old school rock, and the staff is incredible.

The waitress was friendly and did a great job. The food was great. The restaurant was clean and everyone was having a good time.
