Chicken gravy is top-notch. Catfish and shrimp were great and not over cooked.
Excellent green beans and okra and the beef tips are amazing!
Will definitely come back!

Close your eyes, point on the menu and wherever it lands will be absolutely delicious! You simply cannot go wrong with anything served here. Homemade cooking at its finest! Even desserts are homemade! Highly recommended! Staff friendly and attentive. Indoor dining small, family gathering style.

Absolutely wonderful! Best smothered pork chops. Ever. All the food was fresh cooked, homestyle deliciousness. We had beef tips with rice and gravy, smother pork chops with rice and gravy, black eyed peas, green beans, cabbage, pinto beans, fresh baked corn read, fresh brewed tea, and strawberry bread pudding. Each bite was as good as the next. These ladies take care of each customer, which takes a minute. Also, remember this is FRESH. They may sell out of some items if you don't get there early. Definitely will return.

I love these ladies! They are always so happy.. Theirs one lady there who has the biggest brightest most beautiful smile.. I told my daughter you know their food has got to be amazing because they cook with love and happiness and when you cook with love boy that shiit good!! Go by and see them they'll brighten up your day!!

Great food and the nicest people cooking it up with love....you can tell. Glad we got off the beaten path and tried this locally owned cafe...2 thumbs up. Our pictures are the Oxtail and Fried Pork Chop plates...excellent.

The service was amazing and the food was something else 12/10. It’s one of those places where you take a bite and you tilt your head and you think to yourself this can’t be this good. This is the new benchmark in my head for what I compare other southern cooking to.

The food is absolutely delicious. Portions are oversized and people make you feel like you are home. But the most important is the food taste so good. Best food I've had in Orange.

Fish Friday, and this lunch was absolutely amazing. The gentleman at the window was super kind, food on target, and will be back next Friday for more.

Wonderful little spot for some home cooked southern food. The smothered porkchops were outstanding!

Greated with a smile and true southern hospitality just to start. The ladies showed me all the food options and after having to make a hard decision about what to eat because it all looked so good, I went with smothered porkchop with blackeyed peas and collared green. The flavors reminded me of all the great southern food I grew up with, top notch! Definitely stop in for a real southern treat.

By far the nicest people in town. They are always nice and helpful. Very friendly people. And the food is Great. I love rice and gravy and they give it with every meal. They are very helpful, I'm allergic to fish and they always make my food in fresh oil. No other restaurant I've been to has ever done that for me. Im So glad I've found this hidden gem. Can't say enough things about the food and people. If you haven't tried them then I highly recommend you do

Felt like walking into your family Thanksgiving dinner. First with warm welcomes, friendliness and greetings. Then comes the service. Outstanding! Had the fried chicken, black eye peas, Mac cheese, roll and best sweet tea. Hubby had the beef tips and rice with yams and black eye peas. Took some banana pudding and blueberry cheesecake from scratch. Mr. Mike came and sat with us and chatted like a long time friend we haven’t seen in awhile. We will return until we have tried everything on the menu then start all over. Thank you Real Southern Cooking and the entire team for our first visit.

I got the catfish shrimp plate with collars and sweet potatoes. Light cornmeal batter crunchy fish perfection. Collars solid and simple. Sweet potato little chunky and delicious like thanksgiving day! Real deal southern cooking.

To my surprise showing up a tad after closing time. I was greeted very nicely by the beautiful cook were she made sure that I was overjoyed and full.
