Totally authentic Mexican food! Obviously a family started and operated business. Everyone has a passion for service, great food and they are super nice. Such a jewel for our small town. Highly recommend breakfast lunch or dinner. A must try. As close a tasting food as you can get north of the border. Huge selection and breakfast is great.

I really like the breakfast tacos, bacon and egg as well sausage and egg. The pancakes were very good as well. Coffee top notch. The customer service was great as well.

Authentic Mexican cuisine in the heart of Magnolia! I have passed this location several times since moving to town. I had no idea that finally stopping in would rearrange my town favorite restaurants list. Do yourself a favor and come in for some of the most delicious food the city has to offer!

Hidden treasure! So I wasn’t expecting much. We just needed a quick bite between baseball games. Any who, I was amazed with the authenticity of the food, but first restroom check. The restroom was spotless clean. It smelled like a Saturday morning when your latina mom was on a mission to sanitize the whole house down with fabuloso and Clorox. Wait staff was incredibly nice and attentive. She reminded me of just someone’s grandma, super sweet. They have hand made tortillas y’all. It’s hard to find a good Mexican place with hand made tortillas and they nailed it. The food was delicious I definitely plan to make my way out there.

The food is always delicious! It's a small town diner feel. Just wish the staff was a bit more attentive.

I Love 5 de Mayo Mexican restaurant in Magnolia off of 1488 by Brookshire Brothers in old Magnolia . My kids and I use to go there alot when we lived in Magnolia and the owners and all the staff treated us likes Family and since we moved further out of Magnolia we harley go since its so far but last Sunday my Daughters and I had lunch there and it was just like old times Addie one of the owners and the other staff were talking to us like no time has passed by they were Happy to see us and we were so Happy to see them .

The flavors, the spices, are a perfect combination. The chicken fajita enchiladas, the chicken is so full of flavor and grilled to perfection. The salsa is so good, and has just the right amount of kick. The pastor tacos out of this world!

I ordered 1 menudo and 2 pozoles to go. The minute the super sweet lady answered my call to take my order, I only half knew this was a good call. The second I walked in to pick up said order, I quickly noticed the place was packed at 9am! The staff was super friendly and I could overhear them joking with the customers. The pozole was beyond delicious. The meat wasn't dry like most places. The menudo was hearty, with tons of tripe pieces. The fixings were plentiful. We will most definitely come back and dine in next time!

The food is really good. I haven't had anything I haven't liked yet. The frozen margaritas are awesome. One of our favorite places to go.

The salsa was absolutely amazing, you could tell the food was made fresh. Very good spot. Highly recommend.

Hadn't been to 5 De Mayo since the renovations and it looks Amazing. Staff is still and always has been above and beyond par, feels like more than just a resturant they are amazing people who care about their customers and treat you like family. Love this place and will continue to support all the hardwork they put into it. They always give 100% in every way everytime we go.

Excellent food, very friendly staff and service is on point.

We have been coming here for years! Their great service and authentic Mexican food is what keeps us coming back. Their Pazole is so good! I love their drive through options when we need a quick weeknight dinner. They are family owned have excellent customer service. Their breakfast is really good, too. Good price for great food.

Excellent service! Hot delicious food 😋. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. I just love this place. It's clean and the atmosphere is truly Tex Mex style. I am one of there regular customers.😁 my personal favorite is the street tacos an the cream green sauce. But everything is delicious.

This restaurant was an excellent find! Just moved to the area and was looking for somewhere to eat after a long day at the park and this came up as a recommendation on my Google Maps app. The food here is excellent and they actually have freshly made horchata! Service was friendly and fairly quick given how many customers were there for a Sunday afternoon. I don't eat out too often, but this will be my new go-to restaurant when I do!

My husband and I tried this place for the very first time three weeks ago and we loved it. I got chilaquiles and he ordered huevos divorciados, both were delicious. Their salsas, beans and coffee. The waitress was very nice.

Adeline is such a great waitress! Super bubbly and extremely knowledge of the menu. She took the time and was patient with helping my mom pick an items off the menu. The food was absolutely delicious and inhaled everything!
