Athens Country Cafe

Found this place Oct. 4 coming home from up North on different roads. Great food and service. Homemade soups, homemade pies and homemade chicken salad Etc. I had the chicken salad on Ciabatta and chicken noodle soup. My wife had the grilled Caesar chicken wrap and split pea soup.

This is a great little hometown place for traditional and really good food. I personally love their breakfast options.

it's been years since I been there and after a long walk in the woods I ended up heading there for a lunch.. still a nice cozy little cafe. Friendly waitress and unfortunately I order the clam chowder and smoky burger and after I ate the clam chowder which was rich and creamy and tasty.. I was full. so I at least took a a few bites of the. burger and omg!!!! I wish I wasn't full it was just as good. so at least I now have a great supper to look forward to. it's definitely worth a stop. I just hope it's not years again till I go there again

Great home cooked food! The chicken dumpling soup is some of the best I've ever had! Good dessert selection - glad I didn't see it before I sat down! Very friendly and accommodating staff. I highly recommend this Cafe!!

Took a chance, doesn't look like much when driving by, small town diner, but the food is always great, quick seating and service, staff always friendly and remembers us after just a couple stops when passing through. Chicken dumpling soup is the best, we always get a big batch to go.

Great breakfast. Stopped in for lunch during gun season for warm food and bathrooms. Awesome staff, even gave us giant free to go cups of coffee to take along to stay warm. Highly recommend.

Athens Country Cafe is a great small town diner. I like taking my wife here when she stops by for lunch when I’m working. I also take any clients or suppliers here if we are doing a work lunch. The food is great, the inside could use a little updating. All in all it is great.

My son and I stopped to have lunch. The food and service were awesome. Would highly recommend.
