Update: This repair did not last as long as he said it would. It broke in the same place as before, and when I took it to another jeweler they said it should not have been repaired like this for the longevity and age of the ring. As appreciative as I was before, I feel duped and taken advantage of, considering the price of this repair that I thought was reasonable, but since it broke again I had to pay to repair the repair.
