Dixie Lunch

Great place to grab some breakfast or burger. Its one of the most nostalgic places in my life. I enjoy looking at the pictures of the place from back in the day. Reminds me of the good old days. Kirby, the cook used to throw pickles at me when I was a kid. Always a friendly welcoming atmosphere. If you listen closely, you can still hear Ed yelling in the back in the kitchen.

We dropped in to Dixie Lunch on a whim, while on a leaf gazing crawl through Northern Wisconsin. Our sweet, grandmotherly waitress suggested we try Wednesday's special: Broasted Chicken. What a lucky break! It was the best chicken dinner my husband and can remember. Wish we lived closer, we'd be here every Wednesday!

I came here as a child. I and my brother with his son came back to visit and was pleasantly reminded of days long ago. OMG The Malts were just like before. So happy to see the standards were kept in place. Best of all they're still family owned!!NICE.

I had Dixie's French Toast Special on 4/8! It was strawberry covered stuffed with cream cheese! 😋 it was Soo Yummy!!

Our server was most excellent even though she seemed to be newer. Customer Service was awesome. Food was hot and plentyful at a decent price. I ordered the Jumbo Cheeseburger and it truly was JUMBO SIZE and tasted AWESOME. The Hamburger bun was even toasted. My wife and I Chose to get the MEGA FRIES and share them. There was a lot of them and for only $5 at the time of writing this review (it was under APPETIZERS). My wife had LIVER & ONIONS and she said it was most delicious 😋🤤. This is the type of Ma & Pa Restaurant you remember to come back to. So if you are ever in Antigo, Wisconsin. You should stop 🛑 on in.

Been going here for as long as I can remember! Definitely one of my favorite stops in town. The deluxe omelet is very good. Friendly staff, good food and a comfortable atmosphere.

Oooooh My Goodness this is one of the best meals I've had so far on Our( mom & me) trip from California to visit the Pesl's. I had the daily special Beef Stew & dumplins , my mom had Hamburger sammich with taters & gravy & Ma T had Bacon cheese burger w/fries & Rod had cheese burger w/ fries & All was wonderful. Oh & we brought home a piece of homemade pumpkin & coconut cream pie. We also had their Kolaches on Friday! I HAVE TO GET RECIPE FOR THESE!! I had not been to Dixie Lunch for a couple of years. I missed it. I was craving it. A beautiful day for a motorcycle ride was all it took to get me to my hometown. Hot hamburger, potatoes and gravy are my go to, and I was thrilled they were still on the menu. As good as I expected. Unfortunately, it was too much, and I had no room left for pie. Next time! If you are looking for honest food and service, this is the best place you can go.

We were getting bored going to the same places to eat so it was by accident that we stumbled upon this place. Prices may be a little high but the food is excellent...like home cooked. Both my hubby & I have yet to have something we didn't like. Their potato salad is just like my Mom's and the pies are to die for! We never are charged for water and whenever I had coffee, they put an entire pot on the table for me. Very personable waitresses. I can see why this place has been around for 76 years!

I wasn't hungry for a full meal, so my husband and I each got a bowl of chili and split an order of deep fried mushrooms. The food was very good and the staff was friendly. We had to wait a little while for the check (which is one of my pet peeves), while the waitress chatted with another customer. I would have usually been annoyed by this, but it sounded like the gentleman was lonely and I appreciated that the waitress took time to listen to him.

First-time experience excellent food plenty of it and very budget friendly! I will be back!

Great dinner. Family run and been around forever because you get good honest food and good prices served be a great staff.

The Dixie lunch is an amazing diner experience. You won't find a better restaurant in the antigo area! The food is always fresh, the service is phenomenal, and their coffee hits the spot.

Wonderful small town long time family owned restaurant. Friendly service and great home cooking and home made desserts.
A must stop in Antigo.
