We have been camping Great Northern Campground for last 5 years for the 4th. We then started bringing my brothers family out too and always had amazing time. This year we brought with us 5 families camp there with us and everyone had amazing time!!! We had kids from ages 2-16 and they ALL had lots fun! Some the families are even planning come back already in next couple weeks. The family orientated calm fun atmosphere speaks alot! I highly recommend Great Northern Campground! Thank you again for another memorable camping experience!

My wife and our dog spent a night here as we were passing through. We were pleasantly surprised with this place. It is immaculately taken care of with lots of space and activities. The bathrooms and showers were excellent. We would not hesitate to stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.

We loved this campground. So clean, so much grass and the sites are large! The swimming pond with the blow up water gym was a huge hit with my family. The fellow campers were friendly and everyone seemed like they were having a great time. We will definitely be back!

Was the perfect campground for our Labor Day weekend. It is the perfect size that you can give your children some freedom to venture out, yet not be worried. The pond was fun for the kids. The corn hole for adults was great, and the Gaga ball pit constantly had kids playing in it. The owners were kind and made sure you felt welcomed! We will definitely be staying here again.

One of the more "domestic" campgrounds that we have visited in recent years. Bugs and pests were minimal and the playground area was large. Swimming hole was better than we expected and is quite deep towards the center. Pets are allowed and there were quite a few dogs. Our dog gets pretty yappy with a bunch of dogs around, but after the first day she was pretty much used to it. We had an excellent weekend and will definitely be back! We had an electric site for our pop up camper which had a great spot to park and pitch. You could tell the property owners had gone through and back-hoed all the pitching spots nice and flat, so we had no issues with ruts or uneven surfaces for securing our pop-up. Our spot also included a fireplace ring, picnic tables and rows of pine trees to easily attach clothes line or dog lead runs. Best days of Summer 2020 was spent here!

We tent camped on a primative site, with no water and electric. The only drawback was no picnic table, but we were informed about that when we called to reserve, so brought a folding table. We did have a nice fire ring. These do not have a grate attached though, so bring your own.
The playground is huge compared to other campgrounds we've visited. From our site, we were able to see the kids playing, and since it is pretty open, I think the playground is within view of most campsites.
Plenty of space for kids to ride bikes, also mainly within view
Dog friendly which is always a bonus. Some dogs were running loose but seemed to be well watched by their owners.
We didn't use the pond, as it was cold Labor Day weekend and rainy, but there were some kids enjoying it anyway. It's fairly deep and drops off quickly, so didn't appear to be age appropriate for younger children. Nice beachy sand area for play though. It's also not marked what the depth is.
Horseshoes and Cornhole available. Large lighted pavilion, and the play area is also lighted.
Nice little store with ice cream and slushies, and thankfully batteries! 🙂
Verizon and boost mobile do not work at all here.
Was a little loud at night, especially Saturday night when there was a live band playing up the road, but was able to fall asleep anyway.
Only 2 single shower rooms which usually have a line waiting. $2/shower.
Just a suggestion, but there's a large empty area that I think would be perfect for a mini golf course. 🙂

Stayed the weekend during the amsoil off road races. It's a really great place too get away from technology bc the cell service is really spotty and just enjoying the outdoors. Plenty of shade trees which is also nice so, the next time I can take the wife (can't be out in the sun).

This is a place to go. The swimming pond is wonderful and they have games, and many things to do here. It is awesome for families. It is quiet as well. Check em out!!! Reasonable pricing as well, and a handicapped accessible port a pot, and restrooms and showers as well. Owners are very friendly. Pond is being expanded now. Can't wait to see it in the summer of 2019.
