Walked in here after slogging 100 miles on the sleds. Ordered an allagash and the black bear burger. What a friggin burger lemme tell ya. 10/10 unbelievable. Our waitress was great with our group of 8 snowmobilers. Highly recommended. Huge menu. Good beers. Great service.

I had an awesome visit to the Sawmill Bar & Grill yesterday. The restaurant was busy when we got there but we only waited a minute to get a table. The service at the table was prompt and friendly. We ordered The Great Northern pizza, it was awesome! This huge pizza has a ton of toppings and a good crust.

The Sawmill is a delicious destination, family friendly, fun, and friendly staff. The restrooms are clean. Ample parking with wheelchair accessibility. Service animals welcome. The Sawmill has a warm atmosphere and an impressive menu.
My most recent visit here, they made my dog a plain grilled chicken preztle burger. A must for visiting Maine.

We stopped here on our way back from Baxter State Park. The service was friendly and quick. The food was delicious and well- priced. We will definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who asks, and those who don't!! My steak quesadilla was so large, I couldn't eat it all and the potato skins were just as we like them, fried first and loaded w cheese and bacon. They were also huge!!! Tim had the wings which were moist and a good size. They also had fresh brewed unsweetened ice tea which was a plus!

Found online when looking for dinner while visiting Baxter. We got the fries, poutine, burgers and a large meat pizza. All the food was fantastic. Reasonably priced. The pizza was extra cheesy, fluffy dough, quality toppings and just yumm!!! Fries were crispy shoestrings. Server was quite short staffed but she remained pleasant, helpful and smiling. Cozy wood decor. Clean. We will be back!

Not exactly in the Shadow of Mt. Katahdin, but close enough. This is a great Bar & Grill with an extreme Woodsy/Rural Maine History theme. Plenty to look at pictures, woods type tools hanging on the walls. The service was top notch and the food (unlike that which was eaten in the "olde days) was quite delicious. I can't wait to venture that way again and do a more complete review!

We were planning on dinning in before we climbed Mt Katahdin but we finished our hike later than we had hoped. The Sawmill closes at 8pm so we called ahead to have our food made to-go. The woman on the phone who took our order was extremely friendly and made sure we would be having a good meal that night. we picked it up at 7:55 and headed back to our Air BnB. I had a bacon cheese burger and fries.... It was a really good burger and if we head back to climb Mt Katahdin again Ill make sure we get to sit down and eat there.

My husband and I agreed that it was the best steak and cheese we have ever had and trust us we’ve had many. And the fries were superb. We have a vacation house in Chester with many near by restaurants and will be making the drive from now on to here for more delicious food. Keep up the great work!

This is a amazing place to eat after a day of hiking. I highly recommend this place and I wish I found it sooner. Great staff and great selection of food. That Blue Moon was amazing after a brutal day of hiking.

Went on a Friday night, very busy! Got a table right away. Could have used another waitress. The one we had did a great job,they were just packed. Food cooked to order. Taco salad the best around. Burger and fries are excellent. Burger cooked perfectly. There was 6 in our party,no issues on food at all. Overall a great experience. Good prices as well. Would go agin.

Wow! Another excellent find in New England! I had the burger and it’s competing for the best burger I’ve ever had. Being that good BEFORE we hike Katahdin, I can’t imagine how good it must taste for AT finishers! Bravo!

Nice atmosphere, larger mid-size menu, many original meals, everything thing I've got was very good and accommodations were easily made with how I wanted my meal such as different bread. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and available. The place was clean, including the restrooms. Good family place, in my opinion. My favorite is the Sloopy Joe.

Great place that is a current staple in the town. Food is always evolving and improving. Fried pickles have become fantastic over the years. Pizza is great. For anyone who isn't from the area, there is a history lesson in the names of the food. Staff is always friendly and the drinks are wonderful. Good kids menu selection.

The humble exterior belies the pleasant and rustic interior which was clean and adorned in an eclectic yet tasteful sawmill theme. The food was excellent and service was prompt. We ordered The Big Wreck and The White Lady sandwiches. Both were ample portions, flavorful, and prepared perfectly. The service was outstanding, prompt, and our waitress very pleasant and cheerful. The prices were good and typical of similar venues in the area.
