Shelley's Bar and Grill

Had lunch there today while out taking a day trip to Port Austin. Food was Amazing. Our service was fantastic. Loved this place and can't wait to try it again.

While traveling through the thumb of Michigan, Shelley’s was a great find. It was a Wednesday at noon and nobody was open till we found Shelley’s.

We were greeted right away and our server friendly and cheerful. Had the Prime Rib Philly wrap. It was enough for the two of us. Delicious.

If you are in the area it is worth checking out.

Fairly small place, but even though they were short on help at that time, the lady working (the only one in front) was phenomenal. She handled everything without showing stress. Food was awesome. Onion Rings were like from home & Chipolte Black Bean Burger was the best I have ever had. My husband's sandwich was excellent. We will definitely keep that on our radar whenever we are in the area.

Great bar /restaurant! Did an M25 drive up the thumb! Stopped and had a delicious burger!! Delicious and yummy fries too!! Waitstaff was great!! A fun place to go!

Food was amazing. We had the chicken quesadilla, the wet burrito, and the rueben. Everything was great and they were very big portions. :-)

Lovely Bar with good food at decent prices. My bartender and waitress combo were great, friendly and prompt. It easy to have a bad attitude these days, and all the restaurants I've been in lately have been full of overworked, disgruntled and worn out waitresses. These lady's were the opposite, despite being busy they were cheerful and quick. Food was good and the portion was large ( I had a grinder big enough for 2)

Friendly staff, great soups, and dependable hours.

My husband and I live about 2 hours away from here. At least once a year we like to come to the area to adventure and kayak. We always stop here to get lunch and are always pleased! The food is amazing. Our favorite place to eat in Port Austin!

Very friendly, good food and service.

Looking for a place to eat on our way home from Port Austin. It was open and on the way. We weren't expecting much as we had already passed up one local place as it was uncomfortably too "good ol boys". Shelley's is a hidden gem. Staff were super friendly, the place was clean, and the menu had enough variety to satisfy most anyone. The kids had burgers, I had a patty melt, hubby had philly cheese steak grinder. All were excellent. And hubby is super picky. We also had fried pickles and baseball bites (fried pizza dough with nacho cheese dip) yummy. It's too far to make it a regular place but it would be for sure. Will stop in again when we are in the thumb. Nicely done Shelley's!

Clean restaurant style bar. Stopped in for late lunch, wintertime Friday in summer resort area. Excellent menu selection. We choose sandwich, fry baskets ( very inexpensive ), however noticed they had 8 different soup selections today. Staff personable, waitress friendly and cook even came out and asked if our meal was prepared the way we liked.::)

Finally stopped in and love this little place. Fast, friendly service and good food too. Meni looks good. We will be back to try other things. The hamburgers were very good, not gourmet, very good. And, a good portion too. Don't let the outside fool you. Shelley's is a must stop in.

This place is a MUST when visiting the tip of the Thumb. The food is fantastic and all home made. We enjoyed the prime rib and pan fried walleye on Valentine's Day. They have 8 - 10 different soups (you can try as many as you want) that will satisfy even the pickiest eater. All are delicious and made from scratch. The prime rib was massive yet tender and nicely seasoned. Add baby red potatoes and a unique salad bar and it's a meal fit for a king. Shelly, Linda and the rest of the staff ensure a pleasant experience! It may be small and it may be a little remote but you will be back!

It is the best cole slaw I've ever had. And the best pulled pork in Michigan!! Friendly staff, great service and awesome food.

Great service, fresh hot food. Kate was a great waitress. We even left a phone that we had to drive back to get. (Then we were off to grindstone ice cream🤤)
