Battenkill Books punches above its weight. The selection is well-curated, the staff is helpful and very well-informed, and their service is exceptional. I frequently have them ship gifts I have bought there to their recipients. They also have many programs -- poetry night, author readings, children's hour. They are an important anchor to our community.

Cozy and inviting! Love quaint towns with book stores..even a special children's section! Staff is helpful and courteous.

Great local bookstore. Has a small used section for bargains, while the new book section is on the small side (compared to the dead or dying Borders/Barnes and Noble standard). But, it's exceptionally well curated so feels several times larger in terms of books worth browsing. The quality and variety of children's books for gift shopping is very high too.

Love this place. Connie and staff work very hard to get the books I order.nice selection. Very good selection of sustainable agriculture and environmental books. Looks like a good section of kids books, but I don't shop for those, so this from hearing from other customers. Buy local!!

What an awesome book store! They had exactly what I was looking for! They had a great variety, additional cute decorations and gifts, superior customer service, and even gift wrapping. Highly recommend!! 100 stars!

The best small town bookstore!!

Battenkill Books is a great place, and we also ordered 4 children's books through them instead of giving our $ to Amazon, which is so satisfying.

A welcoming space, well stocked with current titles and favorites. The staff here take care to create an inviting space, and give excellent recommendations if you are browsing and undecided on your next read. 11 out of 10.

This place is a favorite of my wife's, she loves the store it has a good book selection, both hardcover and paperbacks. We love to come here and bring visiting friends too. They have some used books in the back. (Very limited selection of used books though).

Found a great selection of unique knit magazines. Many new books , Staff is helpful, shop is fresh + clean . Dont skip the bargain room in the back

Well stocked. Just the type of bookstore that is a comfort to shop in. They will always have a book that you want.

I love this store. The staff is wonderful. They will do special book orders and their prices are great. I sometimes just go there for the atmosphere.
