The restaurant is a laid-back fine dining, which was delicious. We had the steak as well as the scallop dishes. We are already planning on going back again. The staff is very nice and knowledgeable of the hotel's rich history.

This historic hotel is gorgeous and the picture on the website do not do it justice. Our room was spacious, clean, and just beautiful. We had dinner in their charming courtyard from the food truck they have out back. Since we had our kids with us, it was more casual than the restaurant and a perfect place for the kids to move around. Overall, this hotel was a nice, unexpected find.

This is a wonderful historic hotel that has been exquisitely restored. Clean comfortable rooms and very friendly staff. The dining room is beautiful, and though the menu is limited, the food and service are outstanding. The bar serves terrific 19th century cocktails and the courtyard in back has a nice vibe. I would highly recommend staying and dining at this great hotel.

Just had dinner. Great spot! A spacious, comfortable, and contemporary space. Gorgeous historic environs and the food is good. An excellent experience in a delightful little town. Stop, eat and stay!

Plus, they distill good booze there. Buy a bottle of Colorado Gin on the way out!

The Windsor Hotel is a lovely gem of a hotel in the remote Colorado town of Del Norte. It's been restored to its glory days. The rooms are great with period furniture and have their own heat & AC for each room. It's close to good food and a coffee shop. I've been here a number of times, the hotel staff is great, the rooms are quiet and always clean.

Easily my favorite place to recommend to guests coming to the San Luis valley. The rooms are thoughtfully restored and tastefully decorated.

Then.... the food! The best quality I've found within over an hours drive. Fresh, local, well thought out dishes. Nice to have a classy place to go myself, or to bring guests.

I guess there are 20 rooms upstairs at $149/night. I didn't see them, didn't stay there, only dined in the dining room.
Old West brick and wood construction from the 1870s and 80s. Dining room is a showcase for modern and a couple old oil paintings for sale, which are done by talented artists, such as Charles Ewing.
My Elk Medallions with microgreens and coulis was tasty. My friend's Flatiron steak was also good. Both came with carrots and snap peas - no baked potatoes here, only mashed potatoes described as "puree".
Mandarin Orange Sorbet for dessert was a great palate cleanser.
Chef came out of kitchen to ask a nearby table how everything was that night, ignored us, so I guess being old and white comes with privilege I can't enjoy.
We had to ask for water, to which our waitress made an excuse for the water girl being unavailable.
It's good to see that tatted, pink haired people can find employment at such places.

Off-season visit and stayed on a Monday night. Interesting decor and display of hotel's history. Great neighborhood. Appropriate level of attention, staffing - very comfortable. Were not able to sample the dinner because the restaurant and distillery was closed. Would definitely want to stay again.

This is a great historic hotel located on the main street of Del Norte. You are right across the street from a great breakfast spot, the Perks, as well as the best sandwich I have ever had, Simple Foods Market and Deli. The rooms are nicely appointed, and the beds are comfortable. They do have wifi and in room coffee makers with local coffee. Downstairs, they have a nice restaurant and a bar. There is a nice courtyard area that they share with the distillery next door, and they have a food truck run by the distillery. I would absolutely stay here again.

A very nice hotel full of lots of history and love. Tim Yoder (the owner, I believe?) checked us in and is absolutely wonderful at customer service. He's got stories and is definitely worth chatting with if you have the time

Simple process to book, check in and out, manage our room entries and exits, helpful and courteous from front desk to house-keepers to managers to wait staff, large and historic rooms with clean, quiet ambiance, comfortable bed impeccably made. Simple yet elegant accommodations. Great coffee. Despite being in the middle of town on a fairly major road, outside sounds rarely intruded. Food at the restaurant was superb and served by engaging, highly skilled servers who were personable and were sincerely interested in our comfort, and willing to tease a bit since that's a weakness of mine. I recommend this without reservation to any who may be traveling in southern Colorado and want a lovely, historic, comfortable place to rest and refresh, at the Windsor Hotel.

Stayed there while going to see the cranes. Really nice restored hotel. The owner and all of the people at the hotel were really nice. The hotel has a courtyard with a food truck and there is a distillery connected to the courtyard as well. Will definitely be staying here next year to see the cranes again.

Staying at the Windsor was a real treat. This beautiful historic hotel is right in the center of town and is in walking distance to everything. If you're going through DelNorte Colorado is a great place to stay!

This hotel was so charming! At first the outside might look just a tad run down, but the inside is amazing! It’s adorable and it feels like you get put back in time! The restaurant was amazing, my husband didn’t love his food, but I loved mine! The woman at the bar was such a peach and we loved her!!
Beds were awesome, and we enjoyed our stay. The food truck is in a cute little corner that was charming. I recommend!

LOVE THIS PLACE! The rooms are stunning. The location is beautiful. The dining room will knock your socks off (and it serves the best Manhattan I have ever had). The town is charming and my room was haunted (yes and I don't believe in that sort of thing).

Fantastic vibes at the Windsor Hotel! Beautiful and historic and immaculate. The Dining Room serves up amazing food, and the service of the staff was excellent. Danielle waited on us one evening. Everything was delicious; the appetizers, the entrees, the wine, the cocktails, the dessert, and the coffee. Thanks!

This is a wonderful, historical hotel which has been restored to its original glory. The staff is warm and friendly in that charming small town way. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed. The hotel dining room is highly regarded in the area. The hotel is located on a busy highway but our room faced a side street and we were not aware of traffic noise.

We stayed here for a trip to Great Sand Dunes National Park (about an hour away). The hotel has a nostalgic old world feeling that is reminiscent of a something I’d expect to see in old town Alexandria VA. Its age m, decor and style almost lends its elf to a perfect haunted hotel setting (similar to the shining) set in a small town. We ate at three barrels brewing for dinner which was great. The staff was fantastic.

This is one of the oldest hotels in Colorado. It has been refurbished and is gorgeous and classic! We thoroughly enjoyed our three day stay!

What a great place! Our room was amazing! We had a little balcony overlooking the courtyard and there was a band playing. Our room was huge! It was furnished with all antique furniture including a dining table for 8. Highly recommended! The dining room was also amazing. A little pricey but well worth it!
