Sportsman's Lodge

Although visiting for a funeral nearby, I was very happy during my stay at the Lodge. The unique touches to the rooms really made me feel at home. Paintings on the wall, the closet converted to a coffee bar with mini-refrigerator, rocking chair in the room, desk with an eclectic wooden chair, and the front desk man with his dog all made this stay more than I could've asked for!

The place is glorious. If headed up north Arizona, all fine here. The room was a perfect setting for folks wanting to understand Alpine. Would highly recommend getting up there. The drive from Phoenix is split in 4 spurts. Each providing different scenic views etc.
I'd live there if I wasn't so unfortunately domesticated.

This place and Alpine altogether is total coolness.

I loved staying at this motel. The room was very comfortable and updated. Frank and his wife are great hosts. During my stay, all the restaurants in Alpine were closed for the day. Frank and his wife provided microwaveable meals for their customers so that they wouldn’t be hungry. I would certainly stay here again and would recommend it to friends and family.

Best budget motel in Alpine. Cheaper and better than other place. Friendly, helpful staff. Will stay again.

The owners of this wonderful place are the most delightful, friendly, kind hearted people ❤ We come stay here annually for a work related trip and they always remember our names, and talk to us as if we're old friends! It's such a amazing experience and we love that hometown feel. The rooms are ALWAYS absolutely spotless. The pillows are AWESOME, and the bathroom is so cool. The shower is my absolute favorite part. Soooooo relaxing and perfect. Additionally and BEST part, microwave and mini fridge included, and they even provide coffee in the room as well :) I love it and I appreciate the wonderful service and experience every time!! Thank you!!!

Don't go in expecting the Ritz and you will be pleased. Room was very clean, had all of the amenities necessary for a nice stay. Bathroom was recently remodeled. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. The owner was very friendly and helpful with questions about local restaurants. Will definitely stay here again when I'm in the area.

Have been going to the area for 30+ years. Frank and Phyllis are the friendliest, most accommodating and some of the best folks I've met up there. The room was clean, comfortable and the towels smelled good. Was there 2 weeks ago and am planning next ride up. They love riders. Oh, the bed was extremely comfortable.

We absolutely love staying here! Frank and Phyllis are the best hosts and the rooms are always clean and comfortable. We have stayed here 3 times in the fall, once in winter and again in spring. Always a pleasure and we love this destination!!

Stayed here on Sunday night, Labor Day weekend last minute! The man was extremely friendly, they allowed my dog to stay with us! The room was extremely clean, I have absolutely zero complaints and will definitely be staying here every time we go up!

We drove across the USA and stayed in many hotels and lodges and no doubt whatsoever this was the most cozy of all. The owner, his wife and dogs are all just lovely people and will certainly make you feel at home. The town has nice breakfast Cafe around the corner. If you are considering staying in the area definitely stay here. You will enjoy it.

Great little "rustic" motel. Very friendly and personable owners. Clean, great view. I would stay there again.

My name is Curtis and my girlfriend and her two girls where just passing through and decided to stop for the night. The owner Frank is super nice and made us feel right at home. The rooms are cozy, so cozy we stayed another night just so we could continue to relax and enjoy it all. Thank you Frank for a relaxing two days.

Room are OLD SCHOOL bare minimum but the staff are super friendly and accommodating! Sit on the porch and enjoy watching the elk graze in the feild.

A very nice and quiet stay. The Lodges staff were very helpful and kind. I do plan to return in the future.

We were very happy with this place. The room was very clean, comfortable, and lined with pine boards. The wifi worked well from every location. The motel management seemed very nice. There view outside was great, with a Elk herd in front of the motel and a pasture with interesting animals in back. The chirping birds in the morning were amazing. I will definitely visit again if I can find time to take this route again.

The owners are amazing. The units are clean and well kept as well as the property. The units have everything you need to prepare meals, pans, coffee maker, cups, plates, silverware, full size refrigerator. Full Kitchenette with stove and microwave. We stay here every summer, close proximity to lots of lakes for your fishing pleasure. Great place to stay for hunting season as well.
