El Monte Sagrado

I have had the pleasure of staying in numerous heritage properties, but none have surpassed the exceptional experience provided by this one. From the moment we arrived, Rachel went above and beyond by graciously upgrading us and arranging a thoughtful birthday amenity for my boyfriend. She also guided us in selecting the perfect room, ensuring our comfort and satisfaction.

Furthermore, I must commend Everett at the valet, whose kindness and engaging conversation added to our enjoyment of the stay. Additionally, Marcos Gonzales provided exemplary service, offering professional assistance and invaluable food recommendations.

The stellar service continued with Jordan, Carina, and Aydin, who promptly fulfilled our requests with warmth and hospitality. Their attentiveness made us feel truly valued and welcomed throughout our stay.

Lastly, I would like to express my gratitude to Tori, the rooms director, who personally checked us in and provided invaluable recommendations for local restaurants. Her warm welcome and genuine kindness made a lasting impression.

Overall, our experience was nothing short of extraordinary. The warm pool, excellent restaurant, impeccably clean and spacious room, combined with the exceptional service from every member of the staff, have made me eager to return. This property has truly set the standard for hospitality excellence, and I eagerly anticipate my next visit.

Every single staff member was so sweet and kind. I’ve worked in customer service for over a decade and something very unique that I noticed about every staff member we crossed paths with was that everyone seemed very genuine in their greetings and check ins. It didn’t feel scripted (even if it is). The energy is deserving of a raise <3 shout out to Carina, Jordan, Dolores, and everyone else!

The room was big and beautiful. We had ground access to the patio which made it really accessible to take our dog out into the huge grass field outside our room. The spa tub was soo nice. The bed was nice and firm, I wanted to take it home with me. The bathroom has really nice lighting. There aren’t microwaves but when we asked for one they accommodated us.

The pool/hot tub area was so gorgeous! The natural lighting, plants, and flowing water was really peaceful.

Food was amazing. Props to the chef and food service staff.

Typically I wouldn’t stay somewhere like this because of money. But this changed my perception and I will be coming back for a longer stay.

By far the best hotel we’ve been so far. We even had fireplace in our room. Staff were else extremely friendly and professional. Library/game room has some really old collection of books.

Currently staying at El Monte Sagrado, room air conditioning not working .Guest services is trying to help us. first time in Taos. Jordan, Karina, and Jordan, as well as Tori were able to move us to another room the next day. And the last part of our visit was wonderful we hope to return. Thank you so much for your help.

My daughter, her best friend and myself stayed at the El Monte Sagrado Jan 9th-12th. We had a fabulous stay! The service was wonderful! While in Taos we visited the Pueblos, old churches, Historic Plaza, Taos Ski Valley, and ate incredible food! The resort location was perfect for all our outings. We also got dessert and drinks one of the nights at the restaurant/bar and experienced exquisite service and everything tasted delicious! We will definitely be staying here again!

Enjoyed El Monte Segrado so much added a second week! The staff is professional, helpful and genial.

Dining at Del La Tierra is excellent. The Anaconda Bar is unique and fully stocked. The resort is full service.

This place is exceptional. The rooms are awesome. Check in process was smooth and we were treated so nicely. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful area, spacious rooms including balcony, porch type area. Dog and kid friendly with lots of room to roam. Beautiful pool and hot tub, and the massage I got was very good. Great wheelchair accessibility which was important to us.

We had a lovely stay. The pool was really nice with the plants. Our room had a very nice bathroom, and the shower was especially relaxing. This resort has a beautiful property and can provide a calming and relaxing getaway. I was sad that I didn't get to enjoy the spa because they were booked up, so be sure to schedule in advance.

A beautiful oasis in the summertime. A suite overlooking the pond was wonderful. The on site bar and restaurant are out$anding. The shuttle is awesome (basically a free car service to take and come get you for free within a few miles of the resort (Vince was the best). The indoor pool was amazing (but down for maintenance 3 of our 4 day visit ☹). The attached greenhouse/tropical plant building is AMAZING. Only improvement would be some real glassware and coffee mugs in the room. They brought us coffee mugs but then took them away the next day. That's getting pretty picky, so clearly most everything was great!

Beautiful and unique property with excellent staff. We booked a block of rooms here for our June wedding (we married offsite). It was so nice to have a beautiful place for our friends and family to stay. We hosted a brunch the day after the wedding and the food and service were great. We can't wait to go back!

Did a three week road-trip through CO, NM, and AZ. This place was probably our favorite surprise. A really nice property, every single person I met was super friendly, had great breakfasts and dinners at their restaurant. An easy walk to town, and the Kit Carson Museum that is open everyday now. The bar staff were great, as were the cocktails. The hotel might need a little TLC in spots, but overall we really liked it.

Loving our stay here for our friend's wedding. So close to downtown, and they provide shuttle service within 3mi. Pool is amazing, for kids and grown ups. Dog friendly and kid friendly. Restaurant and bar hit the spot. If you're looking to treat yourself to a nice stay in Taos, I'd highly recommend this place.

For a weekend getaway this resort is wonderful. The property is stunning and the staff is friendly and responsive. With an atrium pool and restaurant on premise, it is family friendly and we have a lovely time each visit. On this last stay I treated myself and my daughter to a spa treatment. Heidi, the spa director, is a gem. She arranged everything on short notice and made us feel treasured from the moment we set foot in the spa. The spa is gorgeous, filled with plants, art and lots of beautiful light. My therapist was wonderful and I will absolutely be booking a service each time I return.

Absolutely loved my stay. The property is beautiful, clean, and quiet. I enjoyed a massage at the spa. Majorie was excellent, sweet and very professional. The 24/7 shuttle is super handy and very quick, all the valets are friendly and feel safe. Overall it seems like the majority of the staff working at the resort really like each other, which is always nice.

Thank you so much, this experience was wonderful. Incredible property and Lauren, with the spa desk, went completely above and beyond. Nancy gave an incredibly executed massage experience first thing in the morning. 💯 will return + 💯 would recommend!

Nicest room I've ever stayed in. Clean, lots of amenities. Beautiful views and grounds.

We didn't stay at the hotel, but we did enjoy the best Thanksgiving dinner we've ever had. The staff were very professional and attentive. The meal was so fresh, creative, and delicious. And the pecan pie was life changing. If this is how Chef cooks every meal, the wait list should be a month long!

Beautiful property and very nice stay! No proper EV charging but the valet staff was great and let us use a dedicated spot to plug in our own charger to their outdoor outlet.

Property and rooms were extremely nice and clean. The pool was one of the best indoor pools I've ever been to and very enjoyable. We self parked, but the valet staff and shuttle service to the surrounding areas was top notch. Did not eat at the restaurant but the drinks from the bar were great.

Only gripe would be the check in process being slow and despite "system upgrades" I never received any reservation confirmation emails or invoices via email or text as was told I would receive overnight. Overall a small blip in an otherwise great stay, we will be back!

Very nice place. Rooms are excellent with a very large tub. Comfortable beds. Grounds are beautiful. The anaconda is a great place to get a drink and the bar tenders are friendly. The shuttle service will take you where you need to go and come get you very quickly. I fully reccomend staying here. The decor is nice and classy as well.

Didn't get to enjoy the tub or pool or fitness center this time around but they liked excellent and will be checking them out on my next stay.

A few things they could change though, maybe let the dog owners know that they should make an effort to wake up early to relieve their pets so they don't bark over and over at 6am and wake everyone up. Or try to get the dog owners all on the same row so they can disturb each other instead of others. Had to open my door and yell down the hall to get them to shut their rat dog up. That was incredibly annoying in an otherwise quiet stay.

I can understand dishes with exotic ingredients on the dinner menu being expensive. Breakfast is a different story. $16 for a breakfast burrito and $20 for pancakes with a $3 delivery fee and 25% gratuity? That's just a little ridiculous for food that is made cheaply.

I'll be staying here again, but will make an effort to be away from the dogs and will take meals and drinks here but breakfast elsewhere.
