One of the best-executed historical museums that we've visited. Lots of items but never cluttered or junky. The narration on the audio devices is concise and informative. We spent a lot more time here than expected. The gift shop is also tasteful. A real gem!

The museum is very nice for all of our local tribes and their history. You can't take pictures inside so the pictures are of the area behind the museum. A gorgeous setting.

Wow what a Great place to visit! The staff are so helpful in reservation knowledge and answering my daughter’s questions, totally awesome store, the free nature trail is well worth the walk, and the museum is the best part. It’s huge! Could have stayed for hours looking. Next time we want to do the free audio as a couple we past in one of the rooms had it and it sounded great being the founder narrates it.

Why anyone would rate it on only whether you can take pictures in a museum with lots of Native American spiritual items, is beyond me. I had no problem respecting the No Photos.

Thank you Ninepipes for a wonderful adventure as my family really enjoyed everything. Loved that Nature Trail!

The museum contains a lot of information about the local Natives, their history, lifestyle and a fantastic display of a native village and the fauna and flora of the region. I would suggest to reserve 2 hours to see this museum well.

Absolutely stunning collection! Lots of respect paid to the history and the items themselves. The preservation and conditions are great and the whole atmosphere is intense but welcoming. I loved loved loved the final exhibit room, which I won't spoil but it might take your breath away, like it did mine. I also enjoyed all the photos and the different tribal dresses, tools, and art beside each other for a lovely comparison. I will absolutely recommend this to anyone who admires and respects native culture and will make a point to swing back through if I'm ever in the area again.

Very nice display of historical artifacts and picture of the Native Tribes of Montana area. Nice gift shop and even though we did not go there, they have a snack shop as well. Beautiful building houses the museum and the staff was very friendly and informative.

Ninepipes Museum is Awesome. No photography allowed in the Museum. The items and information on display is amazing and there is huge amounts. We spent about 5 hours looking and reading about early Montana life style. Displays consist of clothing, tools, housing and animals. Entrance fee for the Museum is $6.00 will worthwhile. Great selection of items in gift shop to purchase.

This was a great place to stop and take a break at the end of our holidays last summer. The museum was well worth the price of admission and we could have easily spent a couple of hours there. Checked out the little store next door and filled up with huckleberry goodies. Even spotted the one and only Robert Plant enjoying an ice cream at one of the tables outside the store! Your place is that famous. :)

I visited Ninepipes Museum and their store in front almost 4 years ago when visiting my in-laws.

I felt like I stepped back in time. Amazing and authentic crafts and wares to purchase. I prefer to not call them "souvenirs" as that sounds generic and cheap - and these were far from generic. The prices were very affordable.

My mother and I fell in love with the store and just spent time looking at everything and soaking everything in. We could have been there all day.
My mom bought natural lavender oil, and I bought gifts which suited my fancy. My husband took pictures of the outside displays of wagons, etc from the Old West.

The woman at the desk was very kind and accommodated us very nicely and were very generous (I think she was the proprietor).

The museum you see artifacts from the Old West, animals of the area and paintings of Charlie Russel - a famous painter of the West.

This is a "must see" and I can't wait to visit again during my next family trip. It definitely was memorable.

The museum is awesome. To hear from the narrator as you walk through, brings things to life. I never expected to find such a gem in the middle of nowhere. An incredible amount of artifacts that truly take you back in time when native Americans still had some freedom.
