Loved this artisan chocolate shop. They have an open concept so you can watch them make the chocolate in the back. I popped in to get myself a little Valentine’s Day gift. I love the unique flavored the offer and how they incorporate herbs into their chocolates. The Barista was friendly and joked with me as he made my cappa. Wonderful staff. The have beautiful mural art as well

Chocolate paradise!!! Here, you can find everything chocolate; bars, mousses, cakes, bonbons, drinks.
The hot chocolate is to die for!!! We chose two different options and both were delicious and VEGAN!!!
We took a slice of chocolate whiskey cake..so decadent!
Service is great and the place is warm and inviting.
A must visit!

World class chocolate shop in a vintage building. Their trio tasting will change your life. Don't miss the drinking chocolate and the mousse. Lovely spot to get some reading done.

I couldn’t love this place more. Locally owned, everyone who works here is passionate about what they do. They are kind and helpful. We got a gorgeous cake for a birthday and have gotten many shipments of amazing single origin chocolate bars. One of my favorite gems in our great state!

If you are a chocoholic, this is the place for you. They have absolutely the most excellent chocolates I have ever tasted. They do all the processing themselves, from bean to confection. Their sipping chocolates are smooth, thick, creamy and heavenly. I like the Aztec, with caramelized cinnamon. Any of their chocolate truffles are delightful. And for real heaven, have a mousse. The Madagascar is what I had and it was wonderful. This is the only reason to go to Taos.

Excellent most amazing chocolate and delicious flavors. Doesn’t overdo the sugar. Highest quality ingredients. I got the dulce de leche mousse. Wife got the flourless chocolate cake. Kids got mousse and cake. Yum yum yummy!

We will definitely make this a regular stop whenever we’re passing through Taos.

Deeply tasty, rich sipping chocolate (I had the Arabian). We wandered in at random around 3:30 and shortly after we sat down some sort of rush ensued. Still not sure where they all came from! The fellow at the counter was very patient during the unending stream of customers, and dispensed both chocolate knowledge and Taos tips. Visitors and locals alike were in abundance, so it felt like we were in one of those third-place community spots.

Note: there is only seating for about 8 at 4 tiny tables inside, but there’s much more on the patio/alley if the weather is cooperating.

Came here based on friends’ recommendations. The hot chocolate is exceptionally tasty – I highly recommend trying three different chocolate mousses. It was incredibly delicious! 🤤

This is very, very special chocolate. We even returned a second time--may have returned more if we weren't headed home after that.

The sipping chocolate is heavenly. I saw one review that complained that their cup wasn't full--I don't know about their experience. In my two experiences they were full up. And for the size, keep in mind that this is sipping chocolate, not hot cocoa which has water in it. So instead of thinking of the size comparing it to hot cocoa, think of chocolate in liquid form, as that is much closer to what sipping chocolate is.

We got the vegan chocolate cake per recommendations. It was a bit dry for us, but still tasty. Happily we also ordered the coffee mouse, which is really rich, with we ate together with the cake, balancing both.

Lastly, the truffles are phenomenal. Had to go back for more.

In summary, so so so good

We got the tasting trio, which allows you to mix and match between the sipping chocolates (essentially a small hot chocolate), mousse, and bon bons. There are a few vegan options of chocolates and baked goods, some gluten free baked goods, all clearly marked.

So glad to have made it into town to try Chokola. The sipping chocolate was devine as were the truffles. Beautiful ambiance and kind staff.

We tried their sipping chocolate, so delightful and we purchase chocolate for a later on snack. They make their own chocolate and it’s a beautifully family own place. Truly enjoyed it.

This chocolate shop is AMAZING. The service is over the top nice and accommodating (we were given a few pieces of chocolate for free since there was a noisy repair happening while we were in the shop). Besides the chocolate being stellar, there are so many fun options- various flavors of mousse, panna cotta, root beer floats and milkshakes, cookies, cakes (with gluten free options), coffee drinks, hot chocolate.. every time I looked around, my eyes settled on another enticing and fun item to consider. I will stop at this shop every time I visit Taos and can’t wait to try more things.

Yummy!!! Incredible flavor. We got the trio of Caramelized cinnamon sipping chocolate… hazelnut mousse, and the passion fruit bonbon - INSANE burst of flavor. Great ambiance at this cute little cafe

I've never seen a mousse bar before, but it was amazing, and the tasting trio is a good way to try a few as well as the sipping chocolate. Portion sizes on the trio were also really good!

My wife and I received a recommendation from someone we met in Santa Fe to visit Chokola when we went to Taos. It is on a side street, so you might miss it. We tried three sipping chocolates, and it was the best chocolate we have ever had. We could taste the quality of the chocolate with each sip. We also tried the different flavors of chocolate mousse, and they were excellent as well. If you love chocolate like we do, I would highly recommend stopping at their shop.

Delicious drinking chocolate with a variety of fair-trade, ethically produced bars and treats. Sipping their iced mocha on the patio is now a core memory from my time in Taos.

The smell was what brought me in. It was quite interesting and it took some minutes to make sense of the menu system but I ordered the espresso, iced latte and chocolate ice cream. Nothing disappointed - even on a winters day, the ice cream was delightful — almost Iike an ice cold mousse. The espresso was excellent and served in two cups as I requested for just the one price! And the latte was called the best ever by my dear friend. Just a extremely pleasurable experience.
