Restaurant Equipment Liquidation claims that they have over 50 years of combined selling and reselling experience of new and used items, pretty safe to say that they would know more about their business than anybody dealing with them. We believe that, with every ounce of our being and would like to share what we learned when our purchase from REL that revealed to us some absolutely frightening legalities.

So... Legally, if (insert any company) has records, shown to you or not (and were talking any records whatsoever, like a scribbled note with a lumber yard crayon from some two-bit pastor of a Carolina hick-town church at the local Lord's acre bake sale) to state an item to be of working order or new or unused warehouse stock or otherwise, then you are absolutely screwed as to any legal claims you may have towards the immediate re-seller of said equipment not being as stated - By law anyone whomsoever re-sales an item with any record is covered to say they had no clue that the item may have been in any condition (ie: flood or natural disaster, damaged, contact with chemicals, sewage, biohazard substances, mold... ect) other than the stated condition. Basically what that means is any advertised condition could be legally listed as new or unused and then is sold and shipped to you and then you are pretty much out of any real claim even a chargeback, trying to prove it in a court of law. It would be extremely difficult, not to mention costly. Good luck in your roll of the dice, we hope the winds of good fortune are sailing with you and if you decide to deal with this outfit, hope you have a large scoop to bail the water from your ship should it start sinking. There are plenty of folks who are willing to stand by what they sell. We were unfortunate in our dealings with this bunch and its laughable what business practices this corporation follows. They do have negatives on eBay and other auction sites that will be your first clue to who you are dealing with. After our initial trouble with this outfit they never answered the phone again and made failed attempt toward final settlement. In short, buyer beware.

Don’t trust them, I bought one dough mixer from them what I received one different from the one I bought and the one I received has many problems, they do not respect their customers and the communication is very bad. Also, I received the dough mixer after one month just waiting and try to contact them

I would give this company a 0 if it was available. We just took delivery of a freezer that was due 21 days ago. We were told that the freezer unit would be delivered in 7 days. The first week it was delayed because Steve was supposedly in Hawaii on vacation and didn't know what was going on. (This is during a covid lock down of Hawaii, meaning that they had to shelter in place for a minimum of 14 days before you could go anywhere in Hawaii. Obviously this was a lie. One does not go to Hawaii during a lockdown to spend it in a hotel room.) Then the second week a gasket was being repaired that he supposedly didn't know about. The third week, he said it was picked up, and we called the shipping company everyday, and it was not picked up until Friday. At last, after a week and two days of shipping we finally got the wrong freezer unit. We got a 3-door unit and the 2 doors that have gaskets that weren't replaced have rotting/molding gaskets on them. It is the wrong color entirely, and now we are getting no response from them. I beg of you, do not buy from this company. They are horrible liars. We are just praying that when we plug in the freezer that it works.

Like other reviewers, we found that REL doesn't practice the art of being reputable. Blatantly avoided us over a falsehood.
