Burke's Beach Rentals

Very convenient service while traveling and wanting to spend the day at the beach. Chairs for 5 were arranged for us quickly. Cash only. Call to arrange. Very good directions given on where to find them on the beach. No umbrella- too windy. We stayed all day as chairs were comfortable and adjustable. Kinda wish they stayed open longer before folding up all the chairs, but I understand it’s a long day for them, as they do open early.

The woman who answered the phone was kind and answered all of my questions, provided pricing and directions on where to find the rentals, and where best to park. When we got to the beach itself, they set up our chairs and umbrella where we wanted to sit, and then collected them at the end of the day - it was all super easy!
The prices were fair, $5 per chair and $20 for the umbrella, and they let us use them until they shut down for the day around 4-4:30pm. It was cash only, so be aware to bring exact change with you.

We came in off season and called for rentals.
They returned our call within 15 mins and made arrangements to hook us up!
Barney was kind, considerate, and accommodating.

Good price and very convenient. They do close up kind of early (4:30ish, I think, and even earlier if a storm is incoming), but I think it’s still worth it to have shade on the beach without having to haul a lot of extra stuff in our small car and struggle with putting up and anchoring an umbrella—especially when we’re only doing one or two beach days a year.

We rented 4 chairs and 2 umbrellas from Burke's 8/8 - 8/9. This was a last minute rental and the staff on the phone and the beach were courteous, accommodating and made it a great 2 days of beach time for us. Thank you from Missouri family visiting Tybee! I would highly recommend.

Excellent service! We called to make a reservation for the next day. Barney Burkes called us that night to see what time we wanted our chairs the next morning. We noticed there were some bad reviews & told him we would be sure to post a glowing review. They are a family owned & operated business. They set up every day at 14th Street (I think he said the north end). We were at 10th Street & they delivered to us. Thank you for your flexibility & willingness to drive all over the island pleasing customers. Yes their hours say 4pm but honestly after a full day at the beach 4pm is okay. Especially if you’re trying to go eat at any restaurant on the island! Thanks Barney & family!! We hung your magnet on our rental’s fridge! Highly recommend.

3 chairs and an umbrella set up by the water waiting for us, less crowded part of the beach, and the gentleman was very friendly. Perfect for just coming to the beach on a whim during the week. 35 bucks to use the equipment from 10am-4pm and they take it down. What's not to love.

Great price and service. Barney was fabulous to work with for our week long rental of chairs and umbrella. It was great that we could be on the Northside beach one day and then the Southside the next. We will definitely rent from Burke's when we come back.

I haven't used Burke's Beach Rentals, but they have nice chairs and umbrellas and reasonable rates for all day. I did talk to one of yhe associates and they were very nice and helpful.

Made the process of renting an umbrella and chairs easy. From the phone call to reserving them, to the quick installation when we were on the beach.

Friendly gegentleman that will go beyond what ever your preference may be. If in need of chairs and shade on Tybee Island on14th street this is the best to park wash off and relax for the day then I highly recommend Burke's rental.
Most are already set up so take a spot he'll find you for payment. I suggest cash low bills not sure if cards excepted.
