First class company and friendly service. Communication and logistics made it very easy to be prepared before you go and the staff was fantastic working with my family. Made it a memorable trip. Would highly recommend.

First time surfers. Loved this experience. Turner is an excellent instructor, very knowledgable and caring. He took time with us to make sure we understood what to do and were comfortable before going in the water. Then once in the water was with us at all times, very friendly and open to questions. He even spread knowledge to people near the beach and other young surfers to be careful of having your back to the water. Turner made sure we were happy with our experience, he was concerned about the waves being small but they were perfect for us first-timers.

This experience was truly memorable. There is a reason the ratings are so high. My 2 grandsons (8 and 10 yrs.) visited me in Savannah from the Midwest, and I hoped to provide a fantastic beach experience for them. Turner and Tybee Surf Lessons came through better than I could have hoped. Turner held the boys' attention, encouraged them, bonded with them, and had them up and riding the waves in a short time. Some practice and instruction on the beach preceded the actual water time, and the lessons were definitely the highlight of their visit. We could not have asked for anything more or different - it was perfect. Thank you, Turner - because of you I am the "coolest" Grandma ever!

My son had a BLAST with Frank! Frank is very laid back, explained what needed to be done in easy to understand instructions. Frank had everyone riding the waves quickly and easily. My son can’t wait to come back! Thanks Frank and Tybee Surf Lessons!!

Turner at Tybee Surf lessons was so awesome with my boys 8 and 12 who love the water and wanted to learn how to surf. He makes it fun while learning and encouraged them the whole time. My boys came away with an experience of a lifetime. I highly recommend surfing with Turner!

The Tybee Surf team are simply put - FANTASTIC! Our kids had the time of their lives, they were up and surfing in 30 minutes. We had 4 kiddos ranging 5-11 and they ate it up. Oh yeah, the adults are next in line for lessons:)

Such a great experience! The instructors were kind, helpful, fun, chill and informative! It was the perfect place to begin learning to surf. Seeing how excited the kids were to ride the waves was awesome. It was the perfect amount of time. We had two teenagers and a 7 year old and they all came away stoked and ready to keep surfing. We said to ourselves it was worth every penny and more. Such a fun time!!

PRO TIP: put sunblock on the back of those legs a few times people!!!

This was SO MUCH FUN!! We went as a family with zero surf experience. Did not disappoint! Turner was fantastic. Communication was exceptional. A MUST do on TYBEE!!! Family is already asking to go back and surf again!

Turner and Cal are absolutely amazing!!! My son took surf lessons and ukulele lessons for his 16th Birthday. He actually learned to surf after only one lesson! Both instructors were super nice and very helpful. I would highly recommend Tybee Surf Lessons to anyone. They are very professional and we will be back again!!! Thanks Turner and Cal :)

Cowabunga dude! My kids had a blast and the instructor were awesome. He was patient with the kids and the kids loved there conversations with the instructors. They are so good my kids think they are pros. We will be returning!

Turner was an awesome teacher! The one on one experience was really amazing. My husband had a great time and learned so much. Totally worth the price and time! Also, very good at rescheduling and being flexible when weather was foul.

Turner made me feel very comfortable. He’ll go at your pace. Teaches you technique as well as terminology and culture. Altogether, highly recommended!

We (1 adult, 1 child) had an amazing experience surfing on Tybee. We emailed about last minute availability and got into small group sessions that weekend. My son loved surfing with Turner and Uncle and hearing about their Hawaii stories before going in. Turner is super knowledgeable and really takes time understand where each individual is in his/her surfing journey. We will definitely be back for more sessions and maybe add some Ukulele lessons everyone talks about!!!

We had a large group with a variety of ages and it was awesome! Turner and his team were spot on with communication from the beginning and everyone had so much fun. From the land instruction to the help in the water, it was all around an amazing experience. We would definitely do it again and recommend for anyone visiting Tybee!

This is the second time my family and I have gone out with Turner. It’s always a blast. Fun spot. Easy for the kids. Locals who surf are always chill.

I came to Savannah with five other women and we really wanted to do a surf lesson while we were all together, and surf we did. WE HAD SO MUCH FUN!

The booking process was very simple and Turner was really flexible. Turner was extremely professional, helpful, and friendly the whole time he tried to get 3 newbies up on a board. His personality is so nice and easy-going. He took the time before we got in the water to sit us all down and make sure we understood the basics and how to be safe.

I can’t say enough how glad I am that we chose to book the lesson and chose to book with Tybee Surf Lessons.

Kids (14 and 16) had a great experience with Turner, who patiently helped them catch their first waves in the chilly April surf.

Just do it! Money well spent on an a truly excellent experience. I was nervous, but the instructor made me feel safe and prepared. I’d do it again in a minute.
