Mayflower Seafood

The food was good but the service wasn't too friendly. He acted if he didn't want to be a server. Then he asked the cashier if we left a tip. We did, but not what he could've gotten if he was a little more friendly. Other than that, we enjoyed the food.

I hadn't been here in years, but me and some friends decided to go and grab some dinner last minute. I had the large trout dinner. It wasn't as crispy as I would have liked but it was hot and freshly cooked. My friends got shrimp dinners and fries, the portions were quite generous. Hot sauce, tarter sauce, cocktail sauce and vinegar were offered as condiments and were readily available. My trout dinner came with 2 sides, hushpuppies and fries. The trout filets are coving them in the picture lol. This meal was delicious and affordable.

The Mayflower in Wilson has become our go-to seafood place in the 5-County area. Marie, Cynthia, and Eddie are our favorite servers, and always provide the best service. The others are nice, but sometimes fall short of the best they could be.

The Mayflower is good place to get your seafood fix if you're in Wilson, NC. Mrs. Marie greeted us at the door and provided excellent customer service. She was friendly, funny, and knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations did not disappoint. I had the 4 item combo: shrimp, scallops, flounder, and oysters with a side of fried okra. Let's just say I had to finish the rest of my food later that day. I highly suggest you stop on by and ask for Mrs. Marie. You'll be pleased.

Never got the gentleman's name who took my order,,,I had a huge takeout order,,,but he was extremely nice and efficient. On the receipt, it showed Server #2,,,hopefully he'll get kudos from the company,,,I live in Maryland,,that was my first time there and I looooooovvvvveeee the service and the food,,we ordered for 15 people,,all the staff chip in and made my departure very easy with all those bags,,I'll definitely patronize this restaurant again,,,Thank you!!!!!

We had an excellent meal and wonderful service. It felt like we were part of the family. Thank you for a great experience.

The young men who work the drive thru are very polite and respectful. They work well as a team and they are very efficient.

I ordered take-out today 8/26/2023 @ 4:35pm. The fried trout, child's baby shrimp with fries, hushpuppies, & a side order of fried okra were all delicious! By the time I arrived home, all of my food was still piping hot. The food was fresh & cooked to perfection. Mayflower, whoever was the cook at this time, please keep him/her! I highly recommend Mayflower, if you have a taste for some delicious seafood! Btw, the young men who were taking orders & the cashier were friendly!

I loved everything about this place. The food was delicious and the plates had so much food on them. We order a fish plate to go and let me tell you the fish wasn't small plus our waitress was very accommodating with it being our first time eating there. If your haven't been yet and your are thinking about going STOP thinking and just make the drive. It's was worth it for us.

Hands down best catfish in North Carolina!!!! Must try their salt and pepper fried hard!!!! Get a togo box too!!! You can't finish it all!!!

We have been going to Mayflower whenever we visit NC. Its our favorite spot there to eat. We love their catfish dinner! I get regular catfish, and hubby gets the cajun catfish. I love fried catfish and had it at other places. Imho nothing beats Mayflower...nothing!
