My sister has food allergies due to alpha gal. Allergy to all things mammal. Even though it was a small restaurant they were very helpful in regard to this. The food was excellent. You must try the fryer mushrooms

Down home . Burgers were great! Friendly people. Very reasonably priced. Will definitely go back when in the area.

You want a comfortable old fashioned cafe , this is the place to go. No fast food everything is made fresh.
So go try it out , I promise you, you will not regret it.

There is a smoking and non-smoking section. Which is a plus!

I have stopped and ate breakfast everything was to the liking had good service and they come around and get my coffee cup filled I recommend if you're through their stop and grab a bite and chill with the people

Words don't do this place Justice!! Had the big burger, onion rings, and chocolate cream pie for dessert. Everything homemade, delicious and inexpensive. Cannot believe this place was literally empty.

Awesome bacon cheeseburger and fries. Perfect proportion for money, friendly service and very little wait time.

Now this is my uncle spot and I will say he has some of the best homemade food you will try in this area when you walk in the environment is very friendly it feels like home they have buffets every Friday which are always amazing. Everything they make from breakfast to lunch to dinner is the best I've ever had. They should change the name to Uncle russells

If you can't get full at Russell's that's on you, down home comfort food you crave!! And don't forget to come in and try the new buffet, everything you can think of and more!!

This place has an old school feel like many old members only joints in larger cities. Russell & family take pride serving the people & treating them like their own. The food is made in fashion of the older style of how country food should always be made. Their Friend Mushrooms are the staple of their country signature grub. Lastly, you might be there for the food, but in the end you mainly enjoy the company of warm blooded Americans.

I'll admit, at first I was sceptical, but everything turned out to be great. I love the homey feel of the place. The food was fantastic! I especially loved the strawberry shortcake (I think that's what it's called, I'm not really sure). The waitress was very nice and she even complimented my hair. When my family ate here we had about 16 people with us total and the staff were very quick to refill the food on the buffet when something ran out. We had all just come from my uncle's funeral and the flag out front of the Cafe was at half-staff for him, which was a very kind gesture that we appreciated very much. If we are ever in town again we will definitely be coming back!

Fantastic little place. Family owned and operated since 1983 by the current owner and 1956 by the last owners. The best fried mushrooms I've ever had, they slice large portobello tops into fries and use panko breading and seasons, absolutely worth the drive. Also thick sliced bacon on the BLT. Best place to eat near Caledonia.

An amazing little hole in the wall. The food is not very expensive but quite good. They serve burgers that are nearly a pound big and have some amazing onion rings. I have really no complaints other than it was a bit boring on the in side. At least in the non smoking room

Good food. You can get hand sliced and breaded portobello mushrooms instead of fries. Super good. Good portions. Inexpensive. Friendly staff.

Down home cooking. Russell make you feel welcome always . He call the elders mom and dad. The food is excellent . I just love sitting around there talking to the farmers and people that go there . Always a wonderful experience. Highly recommend .

When Russell cooks, very good breakfast. Otherwise eggs overcooked and bacon undercooked by one cook. Portobello mushrooms are the best anywhere. A great place to enjoy locals.

A "down home" family oriented restaurant. The food is served fresh and hot. The waitresses are experienced servers. The portions are large and if you leave here hungry, that's on you.
