The Largest Ball of Twine is something that could and would only happen in Kansas. It is so ridiculous that it's just the kind of thing you need to see to believe. From the photos, Its creator seems like a really chill, very quirky fellow. Sometimes you just have to stop being so serious and roll with it and laugh at the unusual while admiring the dedication and achievement.

What a unique stop in our travels! We took some pictures, made a world record (for the day) by adding a few rounds of sisal twine and had a pleasant conversation with Linda about the history of the ball of twine. Just a bit of fun!!

The main reason I’ve ever wanted to go to the US is to see this, and it didn’t disappoint. It’s a large ball of twine, and definitely worth the drive through the corn fields of Kansas to get there.

Make sure to visit Eyegore’s museum while you’re in town, it’s one of the few things better than a large ball of string that exist on this plane of reality.

Been here a couple times. It's one big massive ball of twine. There is twine that you can wrap around the ball and a book to sign your name. Right off the highway and down the street from a store that has an alien outside of it.

Definitely the oddest thing my brother and I encountered while visiting Kansas and Missouri in November of 2023, and it's even odder when one considers that we learned of this 'attraction' through a post on Instagram about the 'worst attractions in each state.' The Ball of Twine is an odd relic, with its history explained through large boards on site. It is in an open-air environment and can be visited at any time during the day. If you're in the area, take a look - there are some cool photo opportunities to get out of standing next to a 27,000-pound ball of string!

The site of the ball is clean and informative. Learning the history was interesting.
Unfortunately, the small town itself is not very inviting, especially with an attraction that many people visit.

The world’s largest hall of twine is a nice little gem to check out. It’s right off the 9 highway, so it’s easily accessible. You can walk around the ball, touch it, read some of the information signs, and even participate in making the ball even bigger by adding your own twine to it! It’s a cool little pit stop and one I would highly recommend if you’re in the area.

Well worth the stop, kids loved it. Got to meet the nicest lady from town who helped us wind more twine onto the ball.

My sister and I enjoyed adding some twine to The World's Largest Ball of Twine. The only improvement I could suggest is a ramp for people with disabilities so they can get close enough to feel it and smell it and add twine. We were met by 2 lovely ladies that offered the twine and some history.

We just stumbled across this not so little gem when passing through the city. It is super cool. You must read the whole story about the twine. It is on the back wall, and I have added pics. You can even add your own twine to the ball. Definitely worth a stop in Cawker

My man and I had an absolutely amazing time! There was this sweet old lady that stole our hearts😭🖤 she told us the history behind the yarn and how the ball came to be... she even let us wrap some in to add to it🥹 we chatted for a bit, and she took pictures for us! There's a mailbox that you can sign and leave stuff in, highly advised!!! We left pictures of our cats in there in honor of #Tudge 😍😍 if you're passing through, stop for sure because it's definitely worth it🙌🏽

This was a stop that did not disappoint! How fun! We signed the guest register. The giant ball of twine is amazing, and yes, it smells like twine!! As a farmer that bales hay, that's a smell I can appreciate! The story and display is so cool! It's great that the town is so supportive of the world record holder!!

A must stop when passing through the area. We got to add a piece of twin to the ball. There was a very sweet lady there who informed us about some of the history. It was just a delightful stop.

This was a fun stop as we passed through Cawker City, KS. We signed the guest book, took pictures next to it, read about the history, and met some friendly travelers doing the same thing.

Driving through Kansas and decided to take a small detour just so we can visit the Worlds largest ball of sisal twine. We stopped at the corner first to visit Eyegores odditorium and monster museum who gave us a piece of official city twine to add to the giant ball of sisal twine (and found some other really fun interesting things, it’s a must stop as well!). What a fun experience the kids had when adding twine to the ball, the town is filled with really nice people and lots of cool history. My family is happy we stopped and checked out Cawker City, Kansas!

Cool random road side attraction. We just happened to notice some people at it as we passed and wondered what exactly was so we turned around. We got lucky that there was a local resident there with new twine and we got to add some to the ball!

Very cool! Huge ball of twine that my son got to add official city twine to from the lovely gift shop across the street. I was told there's a festival every year where they remeasure the ball after it's been added to all year. The town was cute and interesting and worth stopping at on your way through Kansas.
