Oaks Steak House & Gifts

We were visiting Broken Bow and this was close to our hotel. Very nice place. It was interesting on how front page of menu the prices seemed somewhat high (steaks in the $30 range) however the sandwiches were VERY economical.
My wife had her normal burger and fries and couldn’t even finish the burger I had a Rueben and it was very good. We shared a piece of Coconut Creme pie and it was delicious. we will definitely go back here. 👍👍 friendly waitress and a very nice building.

This is about as local as it gets!! You know a restaurant is going to be good when all the locals are eating there. It didn't have a gift shop though as the name leads you to believe. I had a Salmon dinner & my husband had a Cheeseburger 🍔 The salad 🥗 bar is amazing and has tons of stuff so I would definitely recommend it. Our waitress was so kind. I recommend trying the tomato relish. They should sell it to go because we loved it!! My salmon had an amazing dill sauce and a delicious pop over served with it. I loved it all. Beautiful view in the back of a pasture.

I would say this is the best restaurant in Broken Bow. The ambience is warm and welcoming, service is top notch and food will make you come back.

The waitress, Keesha was an absolute delight. If you're confused about the menu, she will give out the best recommendations and trust her on that. She recommended us to try out the combo, which had steak for 2, 2 separate sides and 2 separate access to the salad bar. Best deal right?

The most assuring part about the restaurant was the locals eating there. It felt like a family reunion when people from all tables kept talking to each other and sharing a banter. Imagine eating there regularly and yet being excited about it? Has to be good yea?

what we ordered:
sirloin for 2 (steaks made perfectly as requested)
side of fried okra (not the best okra I've had but pretty crispy)
side of mashed potato (brown sauce made to perfection)
salad bar (Try it and thank me later)
Unfortunately didn't get to try their coconut dessert, may be next time.

This is a family-friendly restaurant with delicious food. Our waitress (I think her name was Keshia) was very nice. Our food was yummy!! We had the chicken Jalapeno nuggets they were awesome. My husband had the 10/12oz ribeye, and I had the catfish plate with potato soup. Everything was great!! Try the hushpuppies they are amazing!! We will definitely be back!!

Oh, and the salad bar is as good as they say it is.

I ordered the kids meal catfish fillet with fries and popcorn shrimp with a baked potato and salad bar. The food was piping hot and fresh! The price was great! Our server was so nice and friendly! We were visiting from out of town but if we are ever in the area again, we will be back!

If you love a cafe, this is the place to go! I had the salad bar & a baked potato and my husband had chicken fried chicken, mashed potato’s & green beans. Everything was great!! We went for lunch and it was busy with regulars.

Great food, exceptional sweet tea, amazing service, and cute cafe set setting. Full salad bar. Had catfish and chicken and they were both fantastic, sauce wasn’t my favorite but they brought gravy! Okra was perfect! No music and very quiet inside.

The steaks were very tasty with great flavor. Service was quick.

The salad bar was well stocked with lots of choices.

If you like a rare steak, stress rare. My wife's steak was more medium rare. I ordered mine medium plus, and it was medium at best. Still they were very tasty!

We loved the food here. Delicious vegetables and sides. Our appetizers were good too. They accommodated a to-go order because we couldn't eat inside.

Food was good, Service was good. We got a New York strip steak medium and my wife had the butter chicken. The cook was great on the steak and the chicken was amazing. They have a good salad bar. The pies where out of this world! Just amazing pies.

Betty! She was out r waiter and she served us as if this was a 5star restaurant. Her entire attitude make seating there worth it’s wild. It was my bday weekend and a popular steakhouse was fully booked ( and they had a bad attitude) Betty gave us the menu. Answered questions and took great care of us. We took care of her. Thanks Betty.

Salad bar was a nice surprise. I don't see too many since covid. The food was delicious 😋. Great service too .

Love their salad bar. Got the open faced hot steak sandwich, which was actually really good. What brought us to eat here in the first place was the circle through parking making it easier to park our truck pulling our Jeep. Not many choices for parking in town when your pulling a trailer.

Flying into Broken Bow for the day and stopped here for lunch. What a great spot! Friendly staff, great food, and nice atmosphere. I had the chicken fried steak, and my friend had prime rib, both were excellent.

This was good food. Will go back. Decorated cute for Christmas. Our waitress was friendly and the food was yummy.

This little gem was lunch on our way out of town. The food was so good and delicious. Mashed potatoes were homemade tastiness! Yum! Hush puppies, chicken fried steak , blackened fish and rolls were a few of the dishes our party had. All was good. Priced just right and good service.

We ate there on a Saturday night because the place we originally wanted to eat was a 2 hour wait. The chicken-fried steak was the best my wife has ever had. I had something else so we went back 2 days later so that I could try this dish. It was definitely worth it. If you like southern cooking, I would recommend this place. It is no frills and reminds me of growing up in the deep South. And the fried dill pickles are amazing!

Good food. My steak was cooked perfectly and very tender. The salad bar was old school and the best ranch I have had in a while. You definitely get a great meal at a reasonable price. We will be back.

Nice quaint diner. Great food. One waitress covering half the dining area. She was working her tail off to ensure everyone was served. There is a strange salad bar setup where only certain plates use it, but they have 2 bars. Must be a regulars thing.
