Stayed here 1 night. Very clean. Is an older building so does have some of the older plaster look and repairs. We didn't mind it at all. Best night sleep in a while. My only recommendation would be to include in email checking in and checkout process. Owner was very responsive when emailed regarding checking in. Would stay again.

Went there apx.12 years ago. Bathroom door closed by itself. Several times. It was my wife, son and I. We all had nightmare dreams the two nights we were there. I woke up in the middle of the night and I saw what I can only explain, as a kolidascope, spelling? When we got ready to leave my toddler son started crying and said that they did not want him to leave. Freaky place. Lots of old pictures of Pawhuska. I’d love to go there again sometime with friends. Bring the gear.

This was a really nice place to stay for the night. Not too expensive. Cute and cozy room. Bed was very comfortable. Glad we had our own bathroom. Bedding, towels, washcloths, soap were provided, always a plus. Free parking behind the house. Small kitchen with plates, bowls, utensils, stove microwave and fridge/freezer. Everything was so nice and cozy and nothing to worry about. Only emailed back and forth with the owners but the seemed very nice and helpful. We could hear the people staying in the other rooms but it wasn't too bad. All in all we will be returning. Thank you so much for the wonderful accommodations.

What a wonderful hidden gem! We booked one of the ground level apartments for a single night stay the morning of our arrival. For the low price, we were expecting a small, no frills place. Wow! Were we surprised when we opened the door! Very clean, lots of space, modern appliances in the kitchen, beautiful wood cabinets with kitchenware, large flat screen TV in living room, separate climate controls for each bedroom, very comfortable mattresses. It was a perfect, relaxing place for the 3 of us. The manager was so thoughtful, too. He had the A/C on and cold bottles of water in the fridge. Highly recommend.

My husband and I stayed in unit 3 in the red brick house. The unit was extremely clean & was quite comfortable. Our ONLY complaint is the bed was super hard. It was easy to overlook because of all the comfortable furniture throughout. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

This part of the country is so quiet & beautiful. Pawhuska is about an hour from Tulsa and approx 30 mins from Bartlesville. Quaint shops line the developing historic downtown; alongside a coffee shop and restaurants.

The Wah- Zha-Zhi House is an excellent home away from home. The hosts were incredibly gracious and and caring. They recognized my likes and preferences before I asked. The rooms are well cared for and thoughtfully decorated and maintained. This made returning to my accommodations, after full days of activity, wonderful.

I look forward to my next trip in this area. I will be staying here again.

I spent years living there! My Great-Grand Mother owned it ... The Drake Apartments. It was built by her Aunt Eagle Means Drake & husband Bright Drake.
Word's can not express how I truly feel about this place. I was I vited there to visit with a friend who was staying In the apartment that my mom and I stayed in when we moved back to town from the family farm. Yes I cried like a baby, tears of joy to see how someone has taken it back to the way it was minus the up stairs balcony.

You should definitely stay here! It's charming, comfortable, and close to The Merc. My family of four stayed in #4. There was a living room, a queen bed (memory foam mattress!), a bathroom, a full kitchen, and a bedroom with two twin beds. There was a handy binder with restaurants and other things listed, magazines, and two of The Pioneer Woman's cookbooks. We didn't get to meet the owner, but he seemed great over the phone. We arrived after the 3-6pm check-in window so Brian left the key under the mat, the light on, and the heaters running! My only complaint was that it was pretty chilly despite both wall unit heaters running at 75 degrees all night. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're staying in Pawhuska!

We actually stayed at the house across from the Wah Zha Zhi house but is rented as part of it. It was wonderful! A 2 bedroom unit with a huge bath, and nice living area. A small kitchenette has a compact refrigerator and microwave along with dishes and silverware. Brian is the rental manager and he goes out of his way to welcome you, and make sure your stay is comfortable. If you use a lot of ice I would recommend taking an ice chest with ice since there is not an ice maker on site. We would gladly stay here again. Location, comfort, price all work together to your benefit.

Walking distance to the mercantile. Rates are so very affordable. Would recommend and would stay again. Excellent experience!

This was a great place to stay. We stayed just for the night but wish we could have stayed longer. It was quiet and well maintained. It was also close to the Pioneer Woman's Mercantile which was the reason we were driving through. We will be staying there again and I would recommend it to anyone.
