I came to stay here because the original reservation I had, was for a place that I was told not to stay and this was the only other option that was decent. I got an end room on the top floor and the heat worked great, the towels were clean and so were the linens. The TV worked well too and I slept better than I expected. It was a safe area and the only downside was I was there on a Sunday and most everything is closed on Sunday. I would recommend this to anyone who does not need fancy, and the lady who runs this place was super nice.
There was a fridge and microwave in my room had I wanted to chill anything or heat it up.
This place was easy to find and there are plenty of options for food if you are not there on a Sunday night :)

Very clean and tidy! Not a lot of frills, but only a couple blocks away from downtown. Fridge and micro in my room. Tv with lots of channels .
I instant hot water, ac unit in room.
Very friendly and accommodating.
Very quiet, restful place.

Would definitely recommend for a nice basic needs place to rest.

Older mom & pop motel, very nice owner and very clean room. The bathroom heater was great on a very cold morning. Has refrigerator and microwave but coffee is in the office. Very accommodating owners and reasonable. Will stay here again. Call for reservations.

Wonderful Stay! This was the only hotel in Pawhuska, OK. My family and decided to stay here because it is within walking distance of the Mercantile. It is a family owned establishment and pretty small. For the price it is wonderful. It has a TV, Fridge, Microwave, fan, and a/c unit in the room. The beds were pretty comfortable and it was quiet. Their service was wonderful and they made sure we had everything we needed. We paid $79/night and I was happy to see everything available in the room. Great place for the price and location! I would stay here again.

Very nice Motel! Nice and quiet. Rustic and quaint on the outside but very clean and comfortable on the inside. Great night's rest! The bed was comfortable. The pillows were a bit thin. I would suggest to bring your own if you're picky about pillows like I am. The heater / air conditioner in the room was not loud. This is one of my pet peeves. I do not like to wake up all night when it cycles on and off. Jan was fantastic. I did not want to stay here but was traveling with someone else who did. I am glad I lost on this one. I am looking forward to my next stay here. Did I mention CLEAN?!?!

I will come back and stay here everytime I come to town. Owners are super sweet and accommodating, rooms are extremely clean and well kept. I absolutely can not say enough good things about the Black Gold great value walking distance to everything fun in town and such a cute little retro feel.

Found because it was close to the Mercantile. Older but rooms were very clean, comfortable beds and well worth the price. Fairly quiet even though we were downstairs. Our groups rooms were remodeled. Office lady "Jan" was very helpful to us and friendly. No irons or blow dryers in the rooms but she did have them to loan in the office.

Best place to stay in Pawhuska. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Made arrangements for a late check in. Spotlessly clean room at a great rate. Mattress was firm and comfy like I prefer. Would stay there again and choose it over any B&B or hotel in town. When you turn out the lights it looks the same as any 5 star resort.

Stayed there October 5, 2017. The room is great(very clean, fridge and microwave, a air conditioner). The lighting is. Little dark but that's no big deal. Great rates. Jan(the lady at the desk) is fantastic to deal with. If you want a clean place to stay, then you can't beat Black Gold

Cleanest most comfortable room on our trip, even ones that cost way more. Good location because it's near downtown but a half block off the highway so it's quiet too. The manager, Jan, was great helping us find places we wanted to visit and suggested some too. Would definitely stay again.

Older small town motel. Extremely clean and neat. Microwave and fridge in room. Very quiet location right on the edge of the downtown. We were very happy with our stay; it's not the fancy big city hotel, but it's an excellent basic motel.

This is a small, family owned motel in Pawhuska. "Rustic" is a most apt description for it. There are no handicapped rooms, no complimentary breakfast, no elevator to the 2nd floor. There is laundry pick up and delivery service, and the coffee pot...the one coffee pot...seems to be always on the hot plate in the small office. The motel and amenities may be small, but the genuineness of manager Jan Daniels is absolutely huge! Jan more than makes up for anything you feel you may be missing, and you forget what it was you thought you were missing. Jan is the personification of "Oklahoma Good!" And the Black Gold Motel is a good experience!

Great place to stay if you are passing through or visiting the Mercantile or Drummond Family Lodge! This place is oleer, but very clean. Had a fridge/freezer, microwave, fan, A/C & heater, and free WiFi. The lady that owns/runs the place is very accommodating and customer service is on point! Would definitely stay here again if ever in Pawhuska!

It was a nice & comfortable motel room. The front sales lady in reservations was so nice! A group of us ladies stayed all night. We enjoyed staying right in town!

Recently ran into this Motel en route to visiting Tulsa; Loved the simple ambiance and decor; nothing fancy just a comfortable place to stay the night! Especially liked waking up early and just sitting on the seats outside on balcony.

Don't expect a five star hotel but this place is clean, nice, and quiet. The people that own it are super nice. I have stayed here a few times and I will stay here again in the future.

Me and my friend are storm chasers from east texas. We were tired from chasing storms in Kansas and pawhuska was a town in line for us getting back to 35. throwback to how the motels used to be. Nice rooms comfortable beds. The manager was very nice and friendly. We will stay here again. Sincerely, Fulltilt Weather & East Texas Weather Watchers.
