The Tavern

The burger was surprisingly good. Most places recommend their burger, only for me to feel slightly disappointed because the taste is like every other place. Just there.
The fries were hot and crispy. The bacon popcorn was unique to eat and my first time trying it. Personally not my favorite however it was a good balance in flavor. The sweet and savory complimented one another. I love the aesthetics of the establishment. The odd yet humorous pictures and who doesn’t love a good postcard. Service was on point and the server was friendly.

Vibe was really cool. Fish and chips were DELICIOUS. Drinks were refreshing. Took a little bit of time to get food and drinks but nothing egregious for a Saturday night. They’re open late which was great since everything else food wise was closed. Only complaint is that the men’s bathroom had women on the wallpaper and the women’s bathroom was just flowers and butterflies. Where’s our scantily clad decorations?! Haha but all in all, was a pleasant experience.

I’m a regular here for a reason, but first—more people have got to know about their incomparable Chef’s Table experience. It’s a five-course tasting menu and easily one of the best meals you can find in the city. You get to sit in the back kitchen area and be treated to a totally off menu culinary adventure, directed by their wildly talented Chef, Austin Plumlee. Spending over three hours savoring amazing dishes and chatting with the chef has been an experience I won’t forget anytime soon, especially at such a great price! They even offered equally impressive options for my friend that was pregnant, which was the sweetest touch.

The Tavern in general just nails it as a place for dates, meetings, reunions, pre-show gatherings... And their seasonal menus? Absolutely top-notch. My friends always rave about how they have a really fascinating way of making every vegetable exciting, and their pastas and THE burger are the best in town. And the shrimp dip is drool worthy. It’s all about first-class flavors and creative twists here. The Tavern is a real gem!

Let’s not forget beverages. Their cocktails are just as impressive with absolutely genius and personable mixologists. I appreciate how they can get so creative, especially with the non-alcoholic options. Meghan and Justin and the whole team definitely crush the cocktail game and are there most weekends!

Overall, def check this place out. The whole team at The Tavern is super welcoming and friendly, which just adds to the whole vibe. And maybe if enough of us ask to bring back the s’mores pie, they will consider it!!

Great food! Can't wait to go back... the Pumpkin Campanelle was one of the best dishes I have ever had.

Have been going to the Tavern since it opened over a decade ago. The menu has a seasonal and sophisticated flair that is open an inviting without being stuffy and condescending. Every dish is well thought out and expertly executed. From complex cuts of meat and sides to a simple grilled cheese and tomato soup.

To pair with food and not be overlooked is array of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beers available. The bar staff never disappoint and will be willing to create something new to your tastes to compliment your meal.

The atmosphere is inviting and comfortable, without being too loud. Have always been satisfied and never felt like the higher price didn’t deliver. Can’t recommend it enough.

I was in town to explore Tulsa, and I happened to stumble upon this place while browsing the night market at Guthrie Garden.

It's a casual dining/bar where you can enjoy great food and drinks. I walked in, and I got my table immediately. I got lucky. I got to the restaurant just before the rush of people came in. Since I was alone (solo trip again), I sat down at the high-top table by the bar area.

This place was so elegant and nice.. highly recommend! Bartender was exceptionally nice and the Fish & Chips was nothing short of amazing!

Really great place with a more masculine atmosphere and decor. Matches the name very well. The food is beautiful and very delicious and portions are big enough to share in my opinion. Maybe not if you're super hungry. They also have a fun drink list that we enjoyed. Pictured is the pork chop, roasted chicken, one of their unique cocktails, and the huge brownie we shared for dessert.

Only been here a few times but the burger is so very good, definitely in my personal top 3 best dine-in burgers. Atmosphere is great, modern, vintage, but still a bit casual.
The angry Mac & cheese is also so very good! Oh and let us not forget the bacon popcorn! Yum yum!

Had a late lunch here and enjoyed it thoroughly. Not too many other customers at 2:30 in the afternoon on a Tuesday, so the bartender, Andrew, took great care of us. I ordered a French dip while my husband had the fish and chips. The fish piece was quite large and not greasy at all. The tartar sauce tasted homemade and I immediately wished I ordered that. I enjoyed the French dip very much but the fish was amazing. Cool atmosphere, very relaxed, chill vibe. If visiting Tulsa, highly recommend a visit.

We were staying nearby and were amazed by this great place that we stumbled upon. I highly recommend them. The lunch portions are very generous and the chef has taken great care to really invoke your taste buds.

Small menu but what they make is absolutely delicious, my compliments to the chef. The atmosphere is causal and the wait staff friendly and checked on the table often. Very lovely meal.

I was treated to dinner by my older brother at The Tavern. They did not have many gluten-free options. However, they did their best to fix my meal, celiac safe.

We had a nice appetizer, cocktail and the food was pretty good. I would recommend this place to anyone without food allergies.

great drinks and food. the tavern burger is an absolute downtown staple for late evenings. good service and bartenders are knowledgeable. can’t go wrong here any night of the week. can be a bit loud during beak times.

I'm not a Tavern regular, but I've been here many times over the years and it's a consistently delicious experience with great service and staff. My favorite late night snack is the tavern burger, and get a side of the peppercorn sauce. A little to dip fries in, a little to dip the burger in, it's amazing.

This is one of my most favorite restaurants ever. My friend and I always share the steak and frites and it’s a pure masterpiece. The atmosphere is so elegant and classy, the service is wonderful and it’s at a very nice location. Great place, highly recommend, especially for special events.

My friends and I ended up on a spontaneous mini-crawl and came here on recommendation from a nearby bartender. We were not prepared (or really dressed) to walk into somewhere so fancy, but they didn't bat an eye.

We had some very spicy mac & cheese, excellent bacon caramel popcorn and a sweet, fluffy strawberry shortcake concoction. The Broken Compass cocktail unfortunately tasted like straight lemon juice to me, but when I couldn't drink it at all, they comped it, which was very classy.

Our very friendly and knowledgeable waitress guided me to the Captain's Daiquiri, which was still citrus-forward but infinitely more enjoyable. My friend also had an excellent drink I have forgotten the name of, but it tasted precisely like a grapefruit.

All told, we were favorably impressed and I look forward to coming back for a proper meal.

We were "those people" who showed 30 minutes before closing and the staff didn't even flinch. Food was comfort level and delicious. Staff were awesome.

The Tavern has been a personal favorite for nearly a decade. The hospitality, food, cocktails…they knock it all out of the park on every front.
