Old Taft Depot

First time visit. We love off the beaten path restaurants, and this one did not disappoint. The staff was so nice. The food was delicious. We had the smoked chicken plate, the chicken tenders plate (was on special today), and the ribeye sandwich. All were delicious. Warning, the sweet tea is southern sweet tea! If ya want half sweet/half unsweet, you may want to go 20%/80% or even 10%/90%!!! Lol Lots of dessert choices. I chose the Blueberry Delight. Yummy! Just like my mama used to make! My husband chose a single scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream in a cone, and our son chose a muffin. The seating areas are all clean, unique, and lovely. We chose to sit outside under the covered patio. We could hear a rooster crowing in the distance. Quite charming. Definitely a place we want to visit again!

Best burger in a 25 mile radius. 2nd only to Jiffy Burger in Manchester, TN. Always fresh, hot, and the most reasonably priced menu around. Highly recommend.

Great place to grab a burger they said they stop orders at 7ish. I had gotten there at 6:50 and they happily took my order, very friendly people.

Good food: burgers are big and delicious. The catfish & onion rings were cooked to perfection. Clean restaurant. Outdoor dining available. Everyone at Old Taft Depot was friendly and hospitable.

Their food is always good, but we got there at 7:20 pm and was told we could only get it to go even tho they advertise they close at 8pm. She said they have to have time for cleaning. Change your advertisement please we come there often...

The ladies that were working last night (our first time to eat there) were very friendly and helpful. There were 10 of us eating together. All of of loved what we tried. We will definitely be going back soon.

Wonderful out-of-the-way dining experience, friendly folks, really fast service, reasonable prices, and the food is awesome and you get a lot of it! I ate my fill and had to take half of it away for later. They've got some really tender and tasty ribs, and something called "potato kegs" that are crispy on the outside and filled with tasty goodness on the inside, like giant stuffed french fries (ask for 'em extra crispy). Highly recommended!

Great little place off of the beaten path. The potato legs are wonderful and the ribeye sandwich is really good. Of you are ever out on Taft, TN, stop in and see them. You will not be disappointed.

Great place for breakfast and lunch. Never had dinner but everyone says their food is awesome. Sandwiches, burgers, chicken everything is great. So are the folks who work there-they treat you like family. Just like home cooking except no dishes. Yeah! Will go back every chance I get.

Delicious breakfast or lunch. Biscuits are amazing as are burgers. Comfortable atmosphere. Nice staff. Eat indoors or out or use drive thru.
